Midas had lost one match already, leaving him rather sour in the stomach as he had not only lost to a beauty, but he had lost in such a miserable manner. Glaring at the ground he could still feel the sting of sand in his eyes from the previous fight. Rubbing them again with his paws, Midas growled in agitation. He needed to win a match, otherwise he’d be taken in as a thrall by someone in the band. This was something that absolutely could not happen. His pride was on the line. What was more, Midas needed to lead a group, not grovel to some idiot with a big mouth. Even if it was Cythrual, Midas couldn’t stomach the idea.
“Just come at me.” He wasn’t amused, a long journey most of which was helping carry Dhoruba’s weight when he was out of it and now a nice dose of fighting. What a great day to be alive.
“Seriously, just… just come on. I am tired.”
His friends were on the side-lines watching him, both having tense expressions on their faces. Never before had they seen Midas’ so aggravated in their life, yet there he was in all his bristling glory.

Agnar grinned as he headed towards the male whom his sister beat. It was actually quite funny that he had lost to her but at the same time not. After all Solfrid was a force to be reckoned with. It hadn't been too long since the last duel between Midas and his sister.
"Do ye 'ave it in ye fer 'nother askorun?" Agnar asked, "Iffin' ye are, let's begin." Getting ready for the fight.

Midas took a deep breath inward to center himself, not really excited nor ready for another duel so soon. He’d give his left testicle to rest for a week, but that wasn’t what was expected of him at all. Lumbering slowly towards Agnar, Midas took a quick glance at the crowd. His friends were watching him with rather strained looks on their face- Had he really looked that bad? Frowning, his gaze went back to Agnar, managing a quick glimpse of the celestial lioness in the crowd. If Hesper was watching him right now, he would surely get laughed at. “I wish I could honestly say I was…” Pinning his ears back, Midas charged forwards towards Agnar, attempting to swipe at anything he could reach. This fight was going to be hard, especially with only a couple hours rest from the previous beating.

He side stepped the attack well enough as the male had disclosed exactly what he was attempting to do. Sparring with his father and sister seemed to have really helped him read his opponents, well sometimes. Agnar retaliated, claws swiping but he knew he wasn't going to do much damage to the male. What the heck did his sister see in this guy other than a fair pelt and a flowy mane.

Growling in aggravation, Midas felt the sting of claws on his skin and then the cool drip of blood as Agnar’s claws released from his flesh. The calm lion was slowly building in agitation at this point, leading him to quickly lash out at Agnar. His hope to get a solid shot on Agnar’s face or throat. It was one thing to be at his best and fail, but to be at his worst and then looked down upon? Snarling, a paw hit as claws dug deep- The hit was something that most definitely would have drew blood… perhaps even leaving a scar, however he had to scramble now. Black eyes caught sight of a bolder he had used to first pounce on Solfrid. That was the best escape from the young male and a perfect perch for an assault later. Attempting to brush past the lion, Midas lost his footing. Scrambling to push forward it left him wide open for another assault. Would Agnar take it?

He barely managed to get out of the way but his rump didn't manage to get out of the way. The roar he made was brutal and he turned to the other. In the moment that Midas lost his footing Agnar took it. Going to bite down on the others throat. Of course he wasn't going to try and do a final bite but he wanted to keep him down a little bit longer. Feel like a gloating moment to have an older lion underfoot.

As swift as Agnar was, Midas had become aware just in time to dodge the attack to the throat, leading the youngster to instead catch his shoulder. As Angar bit down hard, the golden-maned lion yowled in pain, managing to pull himself away after a couple seconds- however leaving part of himself in the youngster’s mouth. Grimacing at the wound inflicted upon him, Midas snarled. If the kid was going to be nasty then he might as well do the same. Yora was shaking his head while talking to Dhoruba- Were the two of them losing faith in him as well? Midas glared at the young lion before charging- powerful legs pushing him up high in the air, claws outstretched. He’d be damned if the kid was going to beat him easily. He may have been tired, but in no way was he going to just roll over. The landing alone would make for a solid hit, but he wasn’t looking forward to just one solid attack, no, Midas wanted to slaughter the kid for attempting to bury his teeth in his neck. Was he starting to loose his grip on the anger he held captive for so long? Probably.

Not exactly what he had wanted but at least his teeth had found purchase in something. Though he tried to dig his teeth in further he felt the other kicked up and made him lose his hold. A cough sputtering out of him. Being winded he staggered and backed away, feeling the pain in his abdomen. That was probably going to scar. He hoped not.
"Aye mate." Giving a small chuckle, "Thar's da fire in ye." Spitting out some blood as he said it. Maybe this was the fire that Solfrid liked so much. Good on her then. Lunging at the male once more, trying to sink his claws in.

Midas hissed at Agnar when claws sunk into his side. As he pulled away the blood from his open wound started to trickle. Snarling, Midas could feel himself really letting himself go. Lunging forward, the lion threw all his weight at the young-adult, claws unsheathed and ready to hit their target. Unfortunately for Midas, adrenaline only lasted for so long… The pull of gravity and the wounds on his body were starting to take a toll on him- Midas needed to end this fight quickly, otherwise he would surely lose. Will his lunging attack be enough to stop Agnar? Probably not.

Agnar felt the other slam into him and he growled as he was brought to the ground. He was angry and he lashed out with his claws. His heterochromia eyes flashing with rage, but a rage that was in check. He was going to make this male pay as soon as got his bearings again. If he wanted to get in, it wasn't going to be with him.
"Yer weak." Agnar spat.

Midas was not weak, but he was definitely unhinged and unfortunately for him that was causing him more harm than good in this situation. If only he had the energy… Swaying on his feet, the lion felt a deep slice from Agnar’s claws run across his side causing him to roar with pain. His white pelt was starting to stain red and as his vision blurred. How pathetic he was, getting beaten a second time by a youngster. He’d surely have to make up for it now.
