Astronomy : A
- As much as Alana enjoyed Astronomy, it wasn’t one of those subjects she considered a major study session. She put in a solid effort to get an Acceptable grade. It was more then enough for her when it came to the class.
Charms : O
- Alana’s favourite and strongest magical art was for sure Charms. Everything has a practical use which made learning the spells easier for her. She put most of her focus into Charms which is why she obtained an Outstanding grade on the exam.
Defence Against the Dark Arts : A
- Defense wasn’t Alana’s strong suit. She knew it was important to know but it wasn’t her favourite. Putting in a solid effort to not fail the class she only managed to come up with an A.
Herbology : E
- Alana always loved working with plants next to working with animals. Though, the professor was kind of intimidating she never let that stop her from doing well in the class. Aside from missing a few details here and there she still came out of her exam Exceeding Expectations.
History of Magic : A
- History was just that history. It was interesting to a point but with everything else Alana had to study for she came up with only an A. Perhaps if she’d taken more time to study all the dates and names she would have done better.
Potions : A
- Alana was no natural at potions. Despite putting in a lot of effort she only managed to scrap by with a bare minimum A. It was a lot of information that she couldn’t manage to keep all wrapped up in her head. Unfortunately, without the recipe Alana was severely lost.
Transfiguration : A
- Let’s put it this why if Alana hadn’t refused to make a living creature go invisible she might have gotten a better grade. Accompanied by a few written mistakes she only managed to obtain an A. Upshot was she got herself a feline companion after it all.
Electives
Care of Magical Creatures : O
- Alana’s favourite class was obviously magical creatures. She loved working with all the creatures and learning everything about them. Though she might not have been as knowledge hungry for information like Minako had been. She still managed to get herself an Outstanding mark for her efforts.
Divination : A
- Despite finding Divination interesting, Alana found it hard to see much when it came to crystal ball gazing. With it being one of the classes just for something different it wasn’t high on her list of focuses. Though her efforts to study for the written part of the exam at least got her an A.
Healing : E
- Healing was one of those classes that peaked Alana’s interest. Though she didn’t plan on becoming a healer and it seemed to cause a lot of problems regarding some fights. Despite that she still took the time to study with Kimberly for the exam, figuring it would be good to know some healing techniques while working around magical creatures. Her efforts managed her an E on the exam.
Music : O
- Alana’s love for music made getting an Outstanding grade rather easy. Though she had to study quite a bit for the history part of it, practically it came to her simply enough.
Mythology : E
- Alana took Mythology because she liked writing. Although it was a lot like history it was more like stories which interested her quite a bit. Putting in the time to study before the exam she was able to come out of her OWL Exceeding Expectations.
