The Haunted House never failed to freak him out, but maybe because it was Halloween season the place had an extra feeling of foreboding about it. The fog seemed thicker and the house itself seemed more haunted, if that was possible. It was freaky enough on any other normal day, but today it just felt...extra.
Which was what had Rhys wondering why in the hell he'd taken the portal over again.
"To explore more," he murmured to himself, ignoring the creepy chill running down his spine whenever he thought he heard something. The fog maybe messed with the sound, too, he didn't know. He didn't honestly want to know, either. He was just here, visiting and maybe doing some Deus research work on some students. Or maybe another Horsemen, if they were so inclined to not try and kill him. The last one he encountered was very much in his face, but had been smiling the whole time...which made it even more unpleasant for him.
He wandered a good while, peering around and walking slowly. Dashing through the fog hadn't been the smartest thing before, and jumping at silhouettes hadn't been the greatest of ideas in the past either, so slow and careful seemed the way to go this time around. Zephira was hounding him to "get a move on, you stupid boil" but he ignored her, as usual, and went about his business.
Eventually though, he spotted a silhouette in the distance, and after quickly determining that it was not just his eyes bugging out because of the stupid fog he blinked and moved closer, sword at the ready...
