[Aria Starstone]

Tanita got her invitation to take her 'not mandatory' test, and stared at it. After a long time, she went out and headed for the location she was given. When she arrived, she tucked her wings carefully around herself, and examined the situation, before walking carefully up to the door. She was about to go in, when she saw the box. She checked it, read the little note, and stared at it.

"This sounds like it's going to be a DANDY time. I can tell already..." She said, putting it back, and trying the door handle. It opened, well enough, and she moved quietly inside. She sighs, realizing it is both creepy and abandoned, then growls to discover that the door is now shut and locked behind her. Of course it is. Initially tempted to try burning it down with her fire breath, she gives up the idea, suspecting that would not improve her score.

It's still tempting, though.

She turns and heads into the room, and then swears. "JACK DAMMIT, what did I step in...? Glue? Oh ew." She gets even more irritated when she discovers that it's stuck to her for now.

She continues forwards, muttering about the disgusting sticky sensation on the bottom of her foot, and then swears even louder when she has the misfortune to step in ANOTHER pile of glue, on her other foot now.

Good luck has clearly abandoned her tonight, and she walks forwards, an appalled expression on her face at the sensation of the glue on both of her feet as she walks. It's horrible and disgusting.

As she was focused on the discomforting sensation of her feet having glue on them, she was not paying enough attention to the world and the world decided to punish her for it. She banged her lower shins into a bin that fell over... with a loud crash and a bunch of rattling sounds. She jumps to the side, appalled, and stares... A huge mess of little bones.

She considers the situation, then mutters "I'm not the idiot who leaves bins of tiny bones lying on the floor... I'm NOT cleaning it up." And turns away.

When she finishes her turn, to her delight she realizes she has reached the door! Oh excitement! She can escape! She runs through it... and finds herself in a library. Blast, she didn't make it outside. She should have known better, but she had hoped...

She sighs, and searches for another door. There doesn't seem to be one in sight.

She peers, and searches, and sighs in frustration, but so far, nothing catches her eyes.

She wanders over to a bookshelf near what she thinks might be the outside wall, and tries to use her height and strength to move it, in hopes of finding a secret exit.

All she finds is dust and frustration, instead. The shelf appears to be nailed to the wall.

She sighs, and starts trying to figure out the proper secret to the room. She'd heard of tricks like this, but she had previously high hopes to never encounter such nonsense.

She begins to search, but seems to find no clear pattern. She pulls on books at random.

Unshockingly, her result is not random. She does not find the exit, or even a secret stash of pumpkin seeds.

She gently thuds her head against the wall, considering with some equanimity the possibility that she might just be stuck her until she disa... Ah? What's that? She lifts her head and goes to examine a book that, despite not having anything on it that should cause it to do so, had somehow glittered and caught her eye.

She studies it, and pulls on it. She hears an odd sound, and notices it doesn't actually come out, but just stays partly out of the shelf.

She searches, hard, for the next one, and in a dark little nook, a book seems to catch her eye... She pulls on it, and a door swings open... And she rushes through.

Tanita looks around the new room she finds herself in. A disgustingly dusty old bedroom... With a door that is on the other side of it. She cautiously strides past the furniture, sweeping the path in front of her with suspicion, just in CASE. She learned her lesson in that first room, and was not taking chances.

Nothing happens, however, and she tries the door. Locked, but... Ah... she finds a small box of hairpins near the bed. She considers them, and pulls one out with care. She'd never tried picking a lock before, but she figured it was worth a go.

She returns to the lock, and slips the pin in. Either someone put an extremely cheap lock on this door, or Tani got extraordinarily lucky, because with a few careful wiggles of the pin, the lock pops off in her hand, and the door swings open.

She dashes through and is exceedingly pleased to find herself back outside. She almost runs home, but a hing of green catches her eye, and she turns to see some one she doesn't know standing there. She catches what he throws at her, an annoyed look on her face at his self-satisfied grin. She takes her certificate, and flees, heading back to the dorms. At least it was OVER.
