While Colton enjoys Astronomy, it wasn't his top priority when it came to studying. He tried his best, but ultimately didn't do a flawless job, much to his annoyance. He had originally kept the class as an "easy O" opportunity, but didn't bother working to continue improving with the new lessons on the NEWT level.

Colton tried to keep up his studies in Charms, but it stopped being as interesting as a few other classes, so he dedicated less time to studying. He tried to resume studying on the few days before NEWTs, but even cramming didn't really help. He passed, which pleased him, and he vowed to study harder next time a major test rolled around.

Defense proved time and again to be Colton's favorite class. He loves studying Defense and likes learning all the spells and creatures covered. He worked hard to get the best possible grade in the class, including working out Boggarts, which genuinely terrified him. He showed up and did his best, walking away with a perfect score to show for his dedication.

While history had interested Colton at first, he began to grow bored of the class at the NEWT level. He didn't bother studying names or dates past a cursory glance, and didn't care to read about anything further. At the exam, his lack of care showed, leading him to fail the test. Luckily, he remembered some of what he'd studied for the OWLs, so it wasn't as hard a fail as it possibly could have been.
Pᴏᴛɪᴏɴs - {A}
Colton did his best to study potions, committing to memory a few of the ones he thought might be covered by the exam. Unfortunately, just like with cooking, he got frazzled under stress of trying to remember times, temperatures, and quantities. The numbers got mixed up, leading to his potion turning out quite a bit far from perfect. Luckily, he knew where he went wrong and was able to salvage a passing grade.
Cᴀʀᴇ ᴏꜰ Mᴀɢɪᴄᴀʟ Cʀᴇᴀᴛᴜʀᴇs - {O}
Aside from Defense, Care of Magical Creatures is Colton's favorite study. He loves learning all about the creatures, including their habitats and habits. He didn't really have to study hard, since he loved the topic it seemed more like casual reading than hardcore studying. He did his best on the test, hoping to prove himself skilled at the class. In the end, he was rewarded with the highest grade, proving his hard work did pay off.
Mʏᴛʜᴏʟᴏɢʏ - {EE}
Mythology was another class Colton enjoyed learning. He liked to read all the myths in the wizard world, then compare them to the ones he'd been told as a child. It made the class a lot more fun. He studied rather hard for the exam, netting him a high, but not perfect grade. Wither way, he was happy to have passed.
Wᴀɴᴅʟᴇss Mᴀɢɪᴄ - {EE}
Colton fell in love easily with Wandless, finding it easier to learn magic without his wand than to constantly remember to carry it. He proved himself surprisingly good at the subject, even though he'd originally only taken it as a goof. He worked hard and ended up with surprisingly good control of his magic, despite it being wandless. He did his best on the test, and was satisfied to pass, if not with flying colors.
