The walk was slow, steady, and uninterrupted from the border and well into the pride where some individual sung hellos from all places to Ali-dido much to his daughers dismay. "You seem well known here." She mumbled to him in a tone much harsher than she had anticipated which warranted a side long glance that ended in a glare. "What happened to your other eye by the way?" She was sure that mention of having lost an eye would have been somewhere in one of the stories that were whisked together by her now absent older brother.

It had finally been brought up, he couldn't avoid it, now what tall tale had he spun with Titella? He couldn't recall word for word, but it would have been dramatic. A story for the ages so to speak! Not the real story, why would he ever give into that? Calypso. The lioness that tore away part of his vision and dipped into his flesh deeply enough in one leg to cause a muscle to be torn. In fact he was still on the mend it felt like, most days, and even as it came to mind now he recognized the warning signs from his body that he just may collapse if he didn't give in soon. "Could you at least offer me place to sit down? Never have I been so bombarded after a travel - even the Malenga has sense to offer a traveller some food and drink." He snorted at her and she responded with a dirty look.

"Should I just get Shauku?"

"Get me for what?"

The dark coat of the Malenga came into view shortly after their spat. Though a small amount of shock could be seen on her face she took a slow breath and relaxed it once more. "Welcome back Ali." She remarked calmly and even move in to help relieve some of his burden by taking a couple of bags. "Where did you hail from this time?" Her tone was calm and happy which was an exct opposite setting from the tone Marionet was setting with her father.

"I'm returning from home, the Myrsky Syntynyt." His response grew more casual as he spoke with Shauku, well of course it would - he wasn't under attack anymore. He rifled through some of his belongings and pulled out some bones strung together. Something he had found on a miniature raid he was able to accomplish on his way over. Perhaps the only thing that truly tied him to his heritage in the Myrsky Syntynyt was his avid love of collecting which often lead to rifling through un-inabited areas cluttered with items sparingly. Though what he thought was important enough to collect were those items often left behind. When he was satisfied with his choice for the Malenga he offered it to her. "A token from my travels." He smiled warmly and Shauku smiled in return, accepting the gift.

"How lovely!" She proclaimed as her extended paw clasped at the boney decorative piece. She seated herself - his belongings that she had offered to help with lay forgotten at her sides - and she pulled the piece over her head. It settled with a birds skull at her chest. "You always come back with such lovely things." Her tone was amused, but matter of fact. Marionet watched the exchange in somethng akin to awe, but she did well to hide it from the pair of lions that appeared so eager to almost ignore her. Then suddenly as though her thoughts were being read by the Malenga herself she caught sight of a pair of ruby eyes falling to her.

"Marionet, right?" The dark lioness questioned the adolescent lightly and with a kind smile. Marionet just nodded, if she were to be honest this was about she could manage. Being addressed by the leader of a pride wasn't something she was used to having done. "I thought so, you must be the daughter of our master puppeteer." A look of pride swelled on Shaukus face. She loved the story of Boneka and her children fell under her wing as well. The whole family was precious to her and she usually found the time to meet them all, but these cubs hadn't been her priority with the recent development in Bahari. The potential alliance was looming over them now and she had diplomts to prepare as well as herself.

"Yes I am." Marionet didn't recognize the pride in her leaders face, but she felt her own pride. The brightly colored youth wanted to do what her mother did and if she had an opportunity she would like to share it with the world. Her genes were lashing out even more so than usual and she found herself wanting to leave the borders a little more each day. Much unlike her brother though she found herself to be a ball of nerves when she reached the borders. To look out at the horizon was one thing, but to walk into it would be another all together. "Did you need something, Malenga?" The tone she had carried for her father was lost on the Malenga - utter respect took its place.

"Yes, would you help Ali settle in?"

A look of sheer disappointment settled on the lioness.

"Do I really have too?" A groan left the lioness before she could even realize what she was saying. It was whiny, childish, and all around annoying. Which rightfully earned a look of surprised dismay from Shauku. "Of course you do!" The lioness didn't necessarily shout, but she grew firm.

"We play host to a great number of lions passing by. All of whom should be treated with respect, and given a meal as well as a bed to rest on." Shauku narrowed her ruby gaze at the young loness. "You would want that same kind of welcome if you choose to wander as well, no?" The gaze was enough to drop the bright lioness to her rump, let alone the speech that enveloped her mind.

"Yes, Malenga." The scolding of a life time and it had to happen in front of him. Marionet was fuming, but as she thought about what Shauku said she realized it too be true. Before she could say anything besides her 'yes' she heard her father clear his throat and smile past her and towards the Malenga.

"I can find my way, Shauku, it's alright." He shouldered his items and even began to collect the items Shauku had so kindly taken from him. "I'll head to my usual space."

"Alright Ali, and Marionet.. perhaps I need to speak with your mother about this behavior. Or should I simply expect it not to happen again?" Marionet felt like she couldn't be any lower to the ground, but nodded. "I'll do better next time. Sorry, Malenga."

The party broke with Marionet heading towards her own home and Shauku leaving with Ali to escort him to his den.
