Physical Description: Physical Description: Naolin has a willowly built, like his sisters and youngest brother. His hair is black and coarse and curly. The left side of his face is damaged, his left check was broken when a dragonet rampaged at an early hatchling leaving it flattened and his vision minority impaired on that side. At the last hatching he was in, a hatchling clawed his face, causing him to loose that eye. His eye scarred over, sealed shut. Scars pit his cheek and lip. He's remaining eye is smokey grey.
He has multiple piercings, two in his tongue, one in left nostril, and two below his lip. He likes green and gold powder make up and flashy designs. No longer as flashy as he once was, Naolin been pairing layers of dark tones and rich gem tone colors.
Important: -Layers, rich colors-natural hair, lots of volume to hide his scarred face. Sort of half shaved in style, longest on his left side, shaved on the right. Lopsided smile, scar tissue on his lips keep him from having proper movement.
Personality: Naolin is fighting a mix of issues. The lost of his eye and the impression to Youxiath shortly after he was partly blinded has sent him in a spiral that he clawed himself out of four years later. He is doing better, he is recovering but he is still has a long way to go.
The return of thread hadn't help. Youxiath is bronze and he only has half his field of vision and it seemed to have taken forever for him to heal enough to not fumble with what seemed to be the most basic of things. He should be out there and he can't. He's a liability no matter what he can manage and the injury has just fielded a mix of over sensitivity, anxiety, and a touchiness.
He grew up in high reaches and he impressed a bronze and all the leadership and ability and responsibility of being chosen by that color the honor is stained by the fact that a hatching clawed out his eye just moments before. His injury has become a touchy subject, and his doubts and over thinking and worrying has lead to a mix of anxiety and over sensitivity.
Bringing up his injury, reminds him about how he got it and how he has managed to achieve and fail all at once which leads to over thinking and frustration, and finally frustrated crying and embarrassment and just continues in a pattern. He is getting better but it is hard. He wanted his siblings to be proud of him... the weyr to be proud of him.
Naolin spent a lot of time as a child exploring the hillside of the hold and hanging out by the riverbanks. He was curious child, attempting to catch and get a closer look at small creatures and bringing home flowers to press and attempt to capture the scent into his mothers perfume oils. He's been wandering about with Youxiath the last few turns and starting to reconnect with his old hobbies. He dry presses flowers and flora in a journal and been taking the longer ways around to explore the unknown. He has Youxiath and he trusts hes dragon to keep an eye out and help him find his way back home.

History: Naolin never met his twin brother, who died minutes after he was born. Perhaps because of it, he was always given a bit more leniency then his siblings. He was a bit wilder, a bit more of a handful, a bit more spoiled, with his wild curling mane of hair and bright grey eyes.
He loved the river bank, spending most of his free time inside the water, walking on top of the rocks and chase minnows and tadpoles. He brought home small treasures, flowers and bits of plants, sparkling rocks, and shells.
Loosing his two older brothers later to impression was difficult because suddenly more responsibility was on him. Aly and Shar always were the more responsible ones. They were gone to stand and impressed and it was just him and his mom and four younger siblings.
Naolin tried but after their mother death it was hard to round up the twins who were angry and hurt and do his best to care for the baby and try to figure out where Rylyrr had gotten to. He did his best to keep his siblings together and fed and handle his mothers funeral. It was messy and difficult till Shar and Aly both came and handled things.
It took awhile to adjust to the weyr and after the first hatching and his injury, Naolin found himself wavering. His brothers had both impressed their first hatchling and he ended up mauled. He worked on trying to improved and more that passed him by the more things wavered and falter.
When he aged out he couldn't stand remaining at the weyr and left to return to the courtesan hall ... possibly. Did they accept people with scars? He traveled not fully committing to the idea and then found himself missing an eye and Yoaxiath, small and perfect and protective little bronze.
He struggled to find reason for the lessons, focusing on the ones that kept Youxiath safe and sound. The care and feeding and health where important but drills and riding lessons among other things seemed impossible. He seemed less... complete and he struggled with it.
Naolin for the last turn or so has been in staying in the company of his uncle and aunt and cousins and focusing on adjusting more to his vision impairment instead of just feeling helpless.

Physical Description: Yoaxiath is a sleek bronze, well formed with a sturdy body and wide wings. He has a rather long tail and uses it to help him make sharp turns. He has bright wide eyes and an expressive face.
Personality: 'Oh, Naolin, love of mine, do not listen to that great bully, your Youxiath knows better than them.' Youxiath is a great heart and protective dragon, wishing to envelope those he cares about and hold them close. Youxiath is a large sheltering presence, covering wings and a firm nudge of his nose to comfort or push his onward and sharp teeth and claws when he needs to protect Naolin from things that harm. And he will harm if that is what is needed.
Youxiath is absolutely loyal to his rider and to those that will fall under his care. He cares deeply for those he is responsible for. Youxiath tackles any obstacle head on, confronting fears and having the focus to keep working and practicing. He can do anything. He knows he can with work. It alright Naolin, if things don't work out now... they will. He promises.
In all Youxiath is a caring protective dragon who wants the best and can promise too much and can push well beyond his bodies means to attempt to grant it.
