It was Cuteth who had spotted the couple making their way to the beach, the young blue dragonet clinging to the side of his rider as if completely unsure of the entire trip. It was cute and almost made the older blue think about when he was about when he was at that age and how even then he had to take care of S’tar despite the rider having more experience than him out in the world. Come to think of it if S’tar had been rather more independent he wouldn’t have been as interested in bonding with the young lad. Taking a moment he rolled in the sand and water, letting the waves roll over his sunning belly before burying himself into the cool water while waiting on the guest to arrive. It wouldn’t be long before they would be close enough for Cuteth to stick his nose into their business and find out who they were and of course drag his rider into meeting someone entirely new.
S’tar of course didn’t notice anyone making their way to the beach, instead he continued to gaze out at the sea as his thoughts continued to drift along like the white clouds that floated lazily in the sky. Most of it was trying to recall the names of stars he had learned over his travels, every now and again he tried to remember them all and where each of them were supposed to linger in the sky. Of course it was harder not being able to see them but the whole point was to not cheat to easily, if he couldn’t recall the major ones where they were now how would he even remember when they were actually hanging in front of him. It may have been silly but that didn’t matter to him, as long as he knew names it would be alright.
S’tar… oh s’tarrrr are you there? Recalliinngg S’tarrrr The voice slowly started to creep into the blonde’s mind as he blinked a few times trying to remember where and what he was doing only to find the blue dragon staring at him with a rather amused expression.
We have guest who have come out to enjoy the wonderful weather.” Cuteth shook his head in the direction to where the rider and dragonet were setting up camp on the beach to enjoy the weather. They were quite close enough that it wouldn’t be much of an effort for the pale rider to say hello to them.
Blinking again S’tar looked at Cuteth before turning his head into the direction of where the unfamiliar figures had laid out a towel in the sand. A frown etched across his face as he saw the oil kit, he should have done the same but instead he had turned up empty handed to the beach. The pale eyes drifted watching the unfamiliar faces move, the blue was pretty a dark color with blue markings like a comet flying in the night sky. The rider was interesting too, older than most candidates if he wasn’t mistaken, but he had an air about him that drew curiosity.
Stop staring and say something if you don’t mind. At this point the blue had made his way out of the water and was nudging his wet skin against S’tar’s body.
All he did manage was a wave and a soft hello only half hoping they would hear.
