Core Classes

Astronomy : A

Gabby by no stretch of the imagination cared about the stars. Yes, they were nice to look at but otherwise they weren’t something she felt was important.
Well it was important enough to get a low Acceptable grade on her exam but other then that not really. She certainly didn’t plan on remaining in the class any longer then she had too.

Charms : E

Gabby had come a long way from a little first year who had no understanding of what a charm really was. She’d steadily improved over her five years even with her stubborn wand.
Even with all her classes she managed to obtain an Exceeding Expectations. It was a class she enjoyed and thus planned to continue in the future.

Defence Against the Dark Arts : O

Defence had always been interesting even in lecture. Joining the dueling club, Gabby further enhanced her skill.
Putting quite the effort on her exam she got a rather decent Outstanding much to her surprise. She certainly out did her expectations for herself.

Herbology : A

As far as Herbology goes, Gabby was alright with working with plants of the magical variety. Professor Hill wasn’t her favourite but she wasn’t about to let that stop her from passing.
They held her interest at least for the most part and she was able to get a decent Acceptable grade.

History of Magic : A

History of any kind didn’t hold Gabby’s interest for very long (nothing against Professor Powell). With that said she fought to keep her grades up in the class since the day she started in it.
She was surprised when her OWL exam came back as an Acceptable even if it was by the skin of her teeth. It was a relief to know that she didn’t need to continue history after this year.

Potions : O

Gabby wasn’t confident about her abilities at first. However, as time went on potions turned out not to be so bad.
When Tiff became her mother, she thought she needed to push herself to do her best work in the class. Luckily, she managed to pull off an Outstanding grade on her OWL examination.

Transfiguration : E

Gabby found her wand to be rather helpful in the line of Transfiguration spells. She was even better with reverting mistakes although she rarely screwed up horridly in the class.
By the time the OWL exam came she was confident at her skill level to at least get a passing grade. Landing herself an Exceeding Expectations she couldn’t complain.

Electives

Arithmancy : A

Math wasn’t exactly her strong suit, but Gabby preferred it over the idea of staring at a crystal ball and reading tarot cards.
Though it didn’t hold her interest all the time she did manage to get an Acceptable grade. She probably wouldn’t continue the class, but it was an alright class while it lasted.

Cursebreaking : E

Gabby enjoyed cursebreaking the moment she started it. It was much like defence for her and she took the time to figure out the spells.
The written exam was the hardest part for her but she still managed to Exceed Expectations.

Ghoul and Ghost Studies : A

Being an elective Gabby took it strictly over curiosity. Thus, when her interest began to fade her grade began to slip.
When OWL exams rolled around she fought to get an Acceptable on her exam. Luckily, she pulled it off but chances were she wasn’t going to be continuing in the subject.

Muggle Studies : O

Gabby took Muggle Studies mainly for the easy grade. Even if it was a bit redundant for her to be taking it.
She after all was muggleborn so knowing how muggles did things was pretty standard. It was so surprise that she received the top grade of Outstanding.

Wandless Magic : A

Gabby enjoyed wandless and used the dueling club to help her preform the spells. She found the principles to be easy but doing a number of the spells proved to be a challenge.
Even still she managed to get an Acceptable grade during her exam. Though she hoped to do better once her course load was downsized.

GABBY's NEWTs

Core Classes

Charms : E

Gabby managed to maintain her Exceeding Expectations grade.
Charms wasn’t her wands preferred magic, but it was something she worked on anyways.
Luckily with some extra studying here and there she did quite well overall.

Defence Against the Dark Arts : O

Gabby always found defence to be an easy task for her to do. She always had a natural desire to protect others (most likely a Gryffindor thing).
She thanked all the time spent in dueling club for the majority of the exam.
Gaining an Outstanding result was no small feet never mind to maintain throughout her time at Hogwarts. Though her work ethic proved to be useful.

Herbology : A

Truthfully Gabby had no idea why she continued in Herbology. It was far from her strong suit.
Plants were far from something that she deemed overly important but there she was working on a very practical exam with one.
It hadn’t gone the greatest, but she had at least done enough to pass with an Acceptable grade.

Potions : E

To obtain better scores in some of her other NEWT exams, Gabby had to let potions slide just a bit. This didn’t mean for a second that she didn’t study for it.
In fact, she studied hard to keep a high grade. Managing to Exceed Expectations was more then satisfying for her.
Not to mention a decent grade to show her mother who was a potioneer.

Transfiguration : E

Gabby found favour with her wand when it came to Transfiguration spells.
Though she was a little disappointed that she hadn’t managed an Outstanding grade on her NEWT exam.
Instead she had to settle for simply Exceeding Expectations.

Electives

Cursebreaking : O

With a full on practical exam, Gabby found herself having a much easier time preparing for it.
She never had an overly hard time learning the spells in class. So, when it came time to do her NEWT exam, she did quite well.
Managing a rather impressive Outstanding grade she couldn’t be more pleased.

Muggle Studies : O

If Gabby hadn’t of obtained an Outstanding on her muggle studies exams there would have been problems.
Being muggleborn and growing up without knowing a thing about magic it took very little effort for her.
She studied for her exam far less then all her other exams but that made little difference what with her practical knowledge of it all.

Wandless Magic : E

Gabby swore that she would do better in wandless once her number of classes dropped. So, she pushed herself to do just that.
Managing to Exceed Expectations she was thrilled since she always wanted to do well with wandless magic.
