Atta girl! Dhawsn did his best not to bump into others as he followed after her. “‘Scuse me, sawry...” Once they made it to the empty floor, he turned to the musicians and made a gesture that hopefully conveyed his message—liven it up, harpers!

Whether in response to his request or just because it was next in their set list anyway, a more upbeat song began to play. It was here that he turned to Ezyzu, mouth opened for a few seconds earlier than it needed to be, and eventually confessed, “Uh. So, I’m not really good at the dancin’ bit, actually. You mind leadin’ my two left feet?”

The change of tempo was sorely needed, whether her friend’s gestures had a change in that or not. She’d like to believe so--Dhawsn’s good cheer was near infectious. Ezyzu swayed gently, feeling the beat as her dear friend turned to her.

Oh? Somehow this surprised her a tiny bit, but made her shake her head gently. “No worries. Momma taught me how to lead and follow--you’re in good hands. Someday I could teach you, if you’d like. I won’t fuss if you step on my toes, either.” A gentle, playful wink. Her hands gently take his, guiding his one to her back while the other was in her gentle grasp. Resting her hand on his elbow, the weyrling smiled--but couldn’t quite help the warmth to her cheeks. “Now just follow me.” She started to sway, slowly to the tempo of the song.

"Cute cakes for sure and perhaps a decent wine,"Rylyrr replied, escorting her to the table. Certainly they would have something out that would be okay. "Hmm, have I given you a tour of the Weyr?" And well, if they found somewhere a bit more private during that time, it was just between them.

Akaris plucked up a plate and surveyed the feast's offerings with interest, although her attention was soon tugged back to Rylyrr by the mention of a tour. "No, that you haven't," she purred, fingers snaking out to collect a variety of little cakes and assorted other sweets. There was no harm in having dessert first, now was there? "A big old Weyr like this, there must be all sorts of nooks and crannies and secrets."
