- ■ Knowing that Charms was likely to be important no matter where she went in life after graduating, Chrys made sure to buckle down and meditate her way through her usual frustration with the course. Her performance over the course of her NEWT years improved enough that she was able to barely manage an EE on the exam.
xxxDEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ~ EExxx
- ■ Chrys doesn't like to take chances, not when it comes to the safety of herself and the people she cares about. As such, she was always significantly more committed to this class than to the vast majority of others, and it showed in her results. While she didn't quite manage an O, it was a very close thing.
xxxHISTORY OF MAGIC ~ Axxx
- ■ Typically, this class came quite easily to Chrys. However, in the later years, the sheer volume of information she had to keep straight, combined with a distinct lack of attention on her part, left her lagging slightly behind her usual position. She wasn't overly concerned with the exam, and spent her energy focusing in other areas. As a result, her grade dipped a little, not enough to fail, but enough that she didn't perform as well as she had in the past.

- ■ Frankly, it's a miracle Chrys passed this exam, and the only real explanation is that the person grading her performance saw how hard she'd tried, and gave her at least a little credit for her efforts. She's never been a particularly skilled artist herself, so the NEWT-level focus on actually producing rather than learning and critiquing didn't do her any favors. She's not terrible, but it's quite obvious that her talents lie elsewhere.
xxxCARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES ~ Oxxx
- ■ It was always somewhat surprising that Chrys took so easily to this class, given her general lack of patience. However, she tends to interact with animals the same way she interacts with small children, and the reason for her lack of patience with most things in life must be due to her having expended it all on those two areas. She shone quite well with this course, and was much more invested in it personally than her others. Her grade for the exam was just shy of top marks, much to her excitement.

- ■ Chrys was never musical, and only took this course as a way to get to know her best friend a little better. She struggled with it throughout the years, and only stuck to it out of sheer stubbornness. That said, without his help, she certainly would've failed. With his help, she managed a barely passing but reasonably respectable A.
xxxMYTHOLOGY ~ Axxx
- ■ This course was another one where her attention wavered as Chrys drew nearer to her exams. She didn't see herself needing it very much later on in life, and so felt only a little guilty about letting her grades slip. She performed quite well on the exam, all things considered, but not well enough to get above an A.
