Ground maneuvers were tricky still. In their last drill, Saith had tumbled and torn a claw out and, most embarrassingly, left the field with a noticeable bruise on her side. And while some of her siblings had offered their sympathies and one or two had actually fussed, she was all the more annoyed about the whole affair. Yes, she was a delicate creature, but she wasn't fragile! A fall wouldn't break her in half or crack her like glass! The more she mulled it over, the more she worked herself up until she decided to just do some extra practices while Raelin was out doing chores.

Avoiding Sahrawith and Molihuth like the plague, the young green found herself once more on a tract of flat land by the weyrbowl. It was sweltering, and she had to take breaks every once in a while to get a drink. But by the end of the day, she promised herself, she was going to master that one tricky little act that had cost her her dignity, torn claw or no torn claw. It did make her wince, however, and she did her best not to sit too much weight on its bandages as she moved.

Aryath was wandering past a field when he caught movement out of the corner of his eye. Looking over there was Saith practicing. He moved closer and settled to watch. It was that piece that had been causing more than a few of them trouble and he approved of her practicing on her own. He knew she could get it, just as he had. As she came to a pause he spoke. You are making admirable progress. You are almost there, Saith.

She stiffened for the smallest of moments once she realized someone was watching. And then it was back to her practicing, as unruffled as ever. Aryath, she greeted him with a slight dip of her head. I was there before. I just have to find it again without falling over myself.[/]
