Chufundo was walking through the forest as she normally did on her patrols, she knew these woods well, she didn't know where her little familiar friend had gone but that was alright perhaps he had left her to return to his family. She was a little sad but she didn't know what to do with a baby waterbuck, to begin with. She was keeping a sharp eye on the darkness as she headed towards the border of their land to start her patrol when she saw something out of the corner of her eye. At first, she thought nothing of it thinking it was just fireflies floating in the woods around her.

She turned and looked at one of the balls of light came towards her she blinked and attempted to hit the ghost light with her paw and then the ball screamed at her. She growled at the ball of light, things were getting really weird here. What was going on and why were ghost lights arriving in their forest? There had to be a reason right? The stars wouldn't just fall from the sky and start screaming for no reason. Chufundo continued to try to deal with this screaming orb of light with no luck she swiped her paw at the thing and it dodged her attempt once more. She sighed and flopped down on her stomach. She was getting really annoyed with these strange lights and sounds wondering when they would stop.

Chu wasn't sure what to do no matter what she seemed to try the ghost light screamed at her and flew around, she thought on the male she had come across the crow the other day. The ghost lights liking her it was possible she supposed but if that was the case she wanted the ghost lights to dislike her and her people. They were a fairly peaceful pride, so screaming balls of light were not Chufundo's idea of a good time. She was a guard, she was supposed to know how to keep the peace and this so wasn't peaceful. She grew more and more annoyed and rose to attack the ball of light finally catching the ball of light. It disappeared but another soon took its place.

She turned away from the annoying lights and went back to the center of the pride lands to try to get a break from the ghost lights, she didn't know how to deal with them or a solution to making them go away. Which was not something she was ready to admit, then again she would need to speak with their leaders and tell them about the ghost lights. For all, she knew this was a sign that something big and dangerous would soon threaten their pride and they needed to prepare. The problem was, Chufundo had no idea how to prepare for something she didn't understand, luckily she wasn't the had guard or the leader of the pride. Which was great and all, but still didn't fix a single problem going on right now.

She returned to her home in the dens she sighed out a deep breath as she laid down in her sleeping space, she closed her eyes and tried to put her mind at ease. Her tail whipped back and forth in her irritation. A dream started to form. She was in the forest again and she heard voices she couldn't quite understand and ghost lights were chasing her. She screamed in her dreams and continued to run from the lights. Nothing she did in the dream helped, she was trapped and when morning finally came and the dream broke. She was more tired than when she laid down that night. She laid back down, useless at the moment because her mind was so filled with haunted imagines of the ghost lights that would not even leave her alone as she tried to sleep. She fell back to sleep that morning and into a dreamless sleep. She could only hope she would find a way to chase the thoughts from her mind so she could have a peaceful night's sleep again someday soon.

Chufundo finally got up late in the afternoon she looked around her small den and sighed still tired in mind and spirit she needed to go and find the leaders and tell them what she saw on the border. She wondered if there was an herb, words, actions, something that could protect their people from this strange event. She grumbled in her annoyance. She didn't like losing control which seemed to be all that was happening lately. She wanted to keep Dastan safe, she wanted to keep Aisu safe. She hated that she wasn't sure how to do that. There seemed to be no way for her to do what she pictured in her mind that her job was. She had things she needed to so and no way to do many of the things she needed to do. She headed off to find Aisu since she had not spoken much with Dastan and felt more comfortable going to talk to Aisu about these matters. Foolish perhaps but that was just the way she felt.

She wondered where Aisu was today, she went back out to the border looking as the light of day felt like it had cleaned the land and she didn't see any of the ghost lights right now, she felt in her bones that they would return. She looked up at the sky and watched as it appeared as if the day grew a little darker and she thought she saw a glimmer of another ghost light. She turned away from the border and off to try to find Aisu. At this rate, she felt her confidence at her job waning. She was haunted by these stupid lights and her helplessness being unable to get rid of them. Unable to deal with this problem on her own, perhaps not even with the strength of the pride's help either.
