Soaking wet from fording through the river not more than a few minutes before Alythrae was not at all amused to find the landscape before her. It wasn't really dangerous to try and clamber up another way, but given how wet she was the woman wasn't looking forward to trying anything with her shoulder how it was either.

Still, she didn't miss a step as she rounded to another path and began her upward climb, feet only slipping on one or two places enough to require her arms be spread out past what her busted shoulder would comfortably allow. Thread had done her worse though, a sore shoulder was nothing compared to being out of shape for that and letting her big green be wounded once more.

Steep slope or no, V'gar wasn't at all intimidated by the danger in front of them, in fact it took everything that they had to freeze and listen to what Yisketh relayed and only then did they glance about for another path with dark eyes narrowed. There were a few rocks that looked solid enough to ford back upward towards the next rise without breaking anything on a slippery tree. Ngawanth's voice loud in their head the younger rider sighed and went slower than they'd even begun to start.

I'm going to be right at the back of the pack at this point. they relayed gruffly even as they did exactly as told, not daring to test the green docking the both of them by grabbing her rider despite their protestations. Upward safely was their only course of action to stay in the race then.
