Finnisa wasn't sure how often she's heard herself say "The eggs will come when they come." The two gold flights had left all of High Reaches' candidates on the edge of their seats, and frankly it was exhausting. Maybe it was just the woman's experience with her family's ovine herds, but she knew these things took time. The eggs wouldn't be appearing overnight, nor this week, nor this month, even. they had a long wait in store, and getting all up in arms over it now would just wear them all out.

That was why she'd taken a day to just get away from it all. It was easy enough to find her way to the lake, to find a secluded corner of it, and dive in. She'd sighed, content and happy, rolling onto her back and letting the water buoy her about. With her ears below the water, the sounds from the shore were muffled, muted. Across the way a few dragons were splashing about, and of course there were people swimming, fishing, generally sporting about...but it didn't matter. With her eyes closed, she might as well be alone in the water.

Or at least, until she drifted head-long into someone. She jolted, lost her floating balance, and rolled in the water, splashing and spluttering until she found her feet, no doubt drenching whomever she'd been unlucky enough to float right into.
