Aleatoric moved slowly, not sure why he was being so careful. Maybe it was because he was uncomfortable leaving his sister unattended. It was the first time in while, perhaps the first since their herd had splintered and he had appointed himself her guardian until they found their family again. But Suni was safe, with their parents. Probably safer than she ever had been with him. Folding his wings carefully along his back, Alea swung his spaded tail back and forth, moving further into the woods. He kept his steps gentle, trying not to shatter the peace that was walking in the woods without actual fear of running into something, or someone, unsavory. He might even let his guard down. With a snort, he shook his head, shutting glowing eyes for a moment. That would come, with time, and with the absence of his brother. Alea was more worried his... dedication to defending his sister would spread to his other siblings, and he would never regain the peace of his childhood. With a sigh, loud like it would push away his thoughts, he kept moving.

Leaving the territory of his second mother in search of some semblance of privacy, the young stallion known as Cry Havoc wove his way through forest and field with a single-minded solemnity. Taking care to avoid crossing territory lines for herds or clans, he endeavored to put more distance between himself and his home to ensure that his sister did not track him down.

Silence was stubborn, as stubborn as Havoc himself if not more so, and gifted with flight. It meant he had more trekking to do, but in the end at least he was certain it would be worth it. Most of the morning passed to the rhythmic movement of his paws, and when he finally drew to a halt he was pleased to note the lands around him were not familiar. Unclaimed territory, so much the better.

"Doesn't smell like one of Silence's hunting grounds." He mused to himself with a flick of his large ears. "I supposed it will do..."

Alea knew when he had wandered from his family's lands. Sad, though, that it felt more at home than being at their new... home. It wasn't unexpected. He and Suni had wandered for so long, the idea of having one place to live, one place where they were safe, was one that was foreign to him. He was sure that his father would catch him patrolling the borders in the middle of the night at some point. It wasn't that Alea didn't trust them... it was more or less than he didn't trust them. Aveshar was family, and their greatest threat, yet he still wandered free. A shiver worked its way down Alea's spine, making his feathers ruffle up. He was not looking forward to facing off against his brother again. Time and distance had changed his memory. He wasn't sure how capable Aveshar was now, or how cruel. Alea kept himself in the best fighting shape he could, but he had no idea what his brother really could do now. Time changed all things. Alea just hoped he was strong enough to face his brother come next they meet.
Something broke into his wandering thoughts, a figure with paws, but no pelt. Alea had met a few on their journey, but hadn't really had the chance to know any of the ones with paws. He didn't think they had liked him and his sister much. The stranger had three pairs of wings, like his sister. Tiny, though they may be. Perhaps this stranger would be of good temper, like her. Alea brought his head up and made sure to make a twig snap under his hoof when he stepped next. "Hello?"

Quote:
Red eyes narrowing as he surveyed his surroundings, Havoc shrugged to himself and assumed a more leisurely drifting pace. He found he did his best thinking when he was also wandering, a trait he felt reasonably sure he had inherited from both his parents. It wasn't something he saw fit to speak of, there was no sense in giving them a better chance of interrupting his solitude. As it stood, he'd keep any advantage he could get.

The sound of a snapping branch and a soft greeting brought him out of his head, made him spin to face the new arrival. A stallion, like him, and fairly common shades of grey, black and white. But the markings on him glowed, soft purple and white like his eyes. He had wings, too, like Havoc; but they were large and certainly appeared to be capable of flight.

Interesting.

"Hello." He returned, hating how it sounded stilted. Socializing was not something he practiced or had much experience with. "If I overstepped, I apologize. I understood these lands to be free and unclaimed, and merely sought someplace to clear my head."

Quote:
Alea was never sure what path an encounter would take. Suni had a better feel for this sort of thing. It always seemed an even chance to him. But, perhaps, he needed to get used to being social. Somewhat social, anyway. His sister would find better things to do with her time now that it was safe. Somewhat. Perhaps he should try and make a friend. At least it would be more interesting than letting his thoughts circle. The stranger was certainly more interesting than his own thoughts. He was certianly not like any Alea had seen before. With multiple tails, multiple wings, and vivid markingings. Alea let his wing stretch out to one side, a gesture many he had come across to be non-threatening, like Alea was lowering his guard. He was trying not to be unfriendly, especially since the stranger didn't seem to want conversation.
Planning to keave if the stranger wanted him too, Alea shook his head, hair falling around his shoulders. "You haven't overstepped any bounds, stranger. These lands are free to everyone. I was merely doing the same." His hair caught on his wing, wrapping around the spike at the joint. "It seems a good day for a wa--" Something moved in the woods to the side and Alea turned toward it, flaring his wings without thought. Yanking his hair. Hard. Head tilted to the side, straiing to get a look at what the hell, he cursed. The thick strands were wrapped tightly, brushing through his feathers and dragging against the leather part. He could pull his wing free if he needed too, of course, he'd be taking some of his hair from his head.
Not forgetting his company, though, he rolled his eyes to look at the stranger, half sure that the pawed Soquili would take the change at an attack. "Well."

Quote:
Havoc was not the sort to seek out interactions, having little to no experience with those that may occur between him and those not of his bloodline. It left him wrong-footed and off-balance, made him lay his ears back to his skull and rumble an annoyed growl. There was no need to lift or flare his lips to bare his fangs, so long and keen that they constantly shone bright white and sharp against the soft black of his pelt. He was aware that his appearance was somewhat daunting, so he relaxed his ears and softened the line of tensions through his muscular form, flicking his tails idly before letting them drift into a gentle curl.

"That is good to hear." Havoc murmured, reacting as the stranger did and fixing his eyes on the woods.

He had heard the rustling, though he had no way of knowing its cause and it showed no inclination to illuminate them. Still, his new companion's predicament was of a more immediate obstacle, though he could not quite bring himself to find humor in it. It did look dreadfully uncomfortable.

"An unfortunate scenario, that." Havoc offered in a neutral tone, a slight smile touching his expression even as he nodded to the tangle, as though there were confusion about what he spoke. "Looks devilishly uncomfortable, truth be told. I don't suppose you'll be managing it on your own? Some help might not be amiss."
