GRIFFIN's OWLs

Core Classes

Astronomy : O

Griffin always enjoyed the stars. It was really no surprise that it was one of his best subjects. Walking into the exam he was confident and walking out he remained that way.
When the grade came in and he managed an Outstanding grade, he was not only proud of his work but happy that he’d be continuing in the subject.

Charms : E

Charms had become an interest for Griffin when he found out he could use those kinds of spells on his inventions. As such he studied hard for his exam so he might do well.
Coming away Exceeding Expectations he was happy to have done well enough to continue in the subject.

Defence Against the Dark Arts : O

Griffin found himself taking to Defence rather well. It quickly became one of his best subjects.
Taking to the spells and being able to handle the written portion of his exam, Griffin was happy to walk away with an Outstanding grade. He’d surprised himself on how well he did.

Herbology : E

Plants were okay in Griffin’s opinion. He didn’t have a problem working with them and he didn’t have a hard time understanding either.
Though Professor Hill was a bit of a concern since the man was probably the scariest professor he knew of.
Not even his ghost studies professor freaked him out that much and that guy had dead animals in his office.
Luckily his professor didn’t scare him enough to Exceed Expectations and stop him from continuing the class.

History of Magic : A

Griffin wasn’t a fan of history although he didn’t hate it either. It was however one of those boring classes that one fought to pay attention in.
Studying the subject wasn’t any easier but the Gryffindor had tried his best. Walking away with an Acceptable grade Griffin was satisfied with how his OWL exam played out.

Potions : E

Potions wasn’t easy in Griffin’s opinion, but he wasn’t going to walk away without trying. He’d put in a good effort to get a decent grade.
One that wouldn’t cut him from the class entirely. Managing a low Exceeding Expectations Griffin was satisfied with that.

Transfiguration : A

Griffin couldn’t rack his brain around turning things into other things. It was math and it was complicated. He struggled despite his father being good in the subject.
He knew he wouldn’t be pleased about his low grade. However Griffin had tried for better. An Acceptable grade was at least a passing one.

Electives

Cursebreaking : O

Griffin found he had a big interest in the art of Cursebreaking.
Though he didn’t plan on being a cursebreaker it at least meant he could reveal and remove curses if he ever came across them.
Griffin planned on continuing in the subject after receiving an Outstanding result on his OWL exam.

Ghoul and Ghost Studies : A

Despite Professor Eckstein having a rather creepy interest, it didn’t stop Griffin from working hard in class. Ghost were a mild interest of his.
Even with his more interesting classes, the Gryffindor still managed to obtain an Acceptable grade. Which was more then enough for him.

Healing : P

Healing had never been Griffin’s strong suit. He’d wanted to learn about it given his involvement with Quidditch, plus it kept him busy.
However, his grade suffered despite how much he tried to do well. Ending up with a Poor grade overall, he wasn’t exactly shocked but was still disappointed.

Muggle Studies : E

Griffin took a great deal of interest in Muggle Studies. Since one of his best friends was in fact muggle and his mother was also muggle.
He’d been living that way for many years before being shipped to his father. It was no surprise that with little effort on studying he managed to Exceed Expectations.
Perhaps if he’d studied more, he would have received higher.

Wandless Magic : T

Wandless was something his father excelled at. Which didn’t help Griffin at all when it came time to learning about doing it himself. In fact, he sucked at it.
Despite all he did to try and make it work it just wasn’t happening. By the time his OWL exam rolled around he had pretty much stopped trying and evidently stopped caring.
Thus, he got the worst grade possible that being a Troll.

GRIFFIN's NEWTs

Core Classes

Astronomy : O

There was no way Griffin was going to let his Astronomy grade falter in his advanced classes. In fact, he continued to work hard to ensure that he’d get an Outstanding grade.
It was a large interest of his and he took great care in showing that. Getting the grade, he acquired was no surprise to him and he was overly happy about the outcome in his final year.

Charms : O

Griffin was determined to excel in Charms. He found it could be very useful after graduation and decided to put in a good hard amount of work.
Putting in probably more work then he had for his OWL exam, the Gryffindor was overly stunned to see his grade. Obtaining an Outstanding grade, he had certainly not been expecting it.
Though given his wand work and his desire to do well in the subject, he probably shouldn’t have been.

Defence Against the Dark Arts : E

Griffin despite his abilities in defence let his grade slide just a bit after spending so much time on his charms’ exam.
Luckily his talent in the subject and his hard work ethic (although less stellar then previous years) secured him a score of Exceeding Expectations.
Though, he’d wished to have done better he at least gained a passing grade which he couldn’t complain about.

Herbology : A

By NEWT level exams, Griffin wasn’t overly sure if plants were truly his thing. Though he tried his best, his interests for other things drove him to study for those instead.
Studying enough not to completely botch the exam he managed an Acceptable grade. More then enough for him.

Potions : A

Potions was one of those hard but well worth classes for Griffin. He wasn’t an overachiever in the class, but he wasn’t the weak link either.
Though the material had become more advanced by this stage of the game, he still tried to study hard. By the end he’d managed to at least gain an Acceptable grade on his NEWT.
You wouldn’t hear and complaints from him on that one. A pass was indeed a pass.

Electives

Cursebreaking : E

Griffin found an interest in Cursebreaking during his time in the class. Over time his grade started to slide with classes becoming more advanced.
He had no desire to be a cursebreaker but found the skill useful. As such he studied hard and managed a high Exceeding Expectations.

Ghoul and Ghost Studies : A

Having a mild interest in the study of ghosts, Griffin continued in the subject. His interest probably wasn’t as high up there as some of his other classes.
Granted he had enough of one to manage at least a high Acceptable grade. Could it have been better? Probably, but no sense worrying about it.

Muggle Studies : O

Griffin put in a hell of a lot more study time for Muggle Studies then he had in previous years. With less classes he had no excuse to not put his all into his studies.
Managing to achieve an Outstanding grade, he was glad to obtain a much higher grade then he had during his OWL. It had always been an interest of his to do well and it clearly paid off.
