Jackson Hawthorne NEWT's (6/6) Done! Graded!

Astronomy ~ A
--As much as Jack enjoyed looking at the stars (and taking a few catnaps during class) he didn't see too much in its significance and thus didn't study as much as he should.

Charms ~ O
--This was nearly a blow off class with how easy the spells came to him. His real problem came in the form of using them the way they're supposed to. And of course he got a free cat out of it. Dunno what he'll name her yet.

Defense Against the Dark Arts ~ EE
--Jack was pretty good at the defense part, not so good at the attack. During the test it took him a few tries to do a fire spell and nearly took out the examiner's eyebrows. He was lucky just to lose a few points.

Herbology ~ EE
--Jack's only interest in plants came from potions and because he might want to be a magizoologist one day and they apparently needed NEWT's in this class. For these reasons, he studied as best he could for the exam and while he couldn't name all the properties of some plants, he overall did well.

History of Magic ~ A
--There was zero to little interest in history, especially history of white dudes who did the same things over and over and over. He was happy he even got an acceptable for how little he studied.

Potions ~ EE
--He knew he was most likely going to need potions in whichever job he chose so he made sure to buckle down and study. He sorta messed up a few characteristics in his essay but he made up the points in his practical giving him a good grade.

Transfiguration ~ A
-Math. Is. HARD. Jack studied so much he was pretty sure his brain leaked out his ears. He murmured every prayer he knew to Ghede to guide him and was pretty satisfied not to troll out.

Alchemy ~ EE
--Jack was surprised how much he liked alchemy and how simple it was once he broke it down to spells and potions. Since he was decent at both, he ended up doing well on the exam.

Arithmancy ~ A
--In his defense, he had no idea just how MUCH math was in this course when he took it. And for what?! Divination hoodoo. And not even the good kind. He studied enough to barely scrape by but he's not too sad about not continuing.

Art ~ EE
--Jack originally took the class so at least between him and Will, one of them would be in it. He enjoyed it, not so much the history part but whatever, and made sure to do well enough not to like, embarrass his mum.

Care of Magical Creatures ~ O
--Jack's had a love of animals and creatures since he was a little boy and it never diminished as he grew older. It especially helped that his dad worked with magical creatures as well so he was always surrounded by it. Studying wasn't even a chore and it was no surprise to him that he aced his exam.

Wandless Magic Practice ~ A
--Jack has little impulse control which is the basis behind wandless magic and thus, he was not an opportune candidate. Luckily though, this time his examiner didn't lose their eyebrows. But he did accidentally blow up a pillow so it was probably a good thing he wasn't any better.

Charms ~ O
--Charms came easily to Jack so he only really had to study the theory behind them in order to be well prepared for his exam. He was very happy with the results.

Defense Against the Dark Arts ~ EE
--Jack focused more on the defensive than the offensive but seeing as the class was split more or less 50/50 he figured he'd have to bone up on theory in order to pass it. Plus he'd be working with dragons (fingers crossed) so he figured he'd have to do well.

Herbology ~ EE
--L i t e r a l l y the only reason he was still in this class was because career counseling said he had to have it to be a magizoologist. Some of the more dangerous plants were interesting he'd admit but ultimately terrifying which was not his idea of a good time. Still, to not face the wrath of Professor Hill, he buckled down and studied and passed reasonably well.

Potions ~ EE
--Jack enjoyed potions and he was rather good at them...when he wasn't attempting to change the formula. Even though it wasn't fun, he studied the theory and the "correct" recipes for different potions and except for messing up the thickness on one of the roots he'd been cutting and accidentally adding two ingredients in the incorrect order, he did pretty well if he said so himself.

Arithmancy ~ A
--Ok so, idiotically Jack had thought that the class would be easier once he was in the higher classes and. It was not. He struggled and studied nearly the entire year just to barely squeak by and he'll take it.

Care of Magical Creatures ~ O
--Considering this was pretty much endgame for him, he took the class and his studying very seriously and even managed to impress himself with how well he did on his exams.
