Itri was a little sad that things were so gloomy around the prideland and security was so tight, he had been getting close with yet another female and things had fizzled with that relationship once again. He was starting to wonder if his cub name was holding him back and he needed to take on a new name if he was going to ever find a mate and have cubs of his own. Right now he wouldn't be able to journey into the rogue lands anyway to seek out who he really was and he had gotten used to being called Itri star. He sighed as he walked to the water hole.

Haziel was a huntress and was bored as hell with her role in the pride. She liked it here, but she had come for a male and it had not worked. She just wanted to have that whole someone waiting in her den thing. Okay so she wanted them to have a life outside the den too, but still she wanted to have someone there for her. The lioness had been cubnapped in her pride of birth as part of the chaos of the civil war that tore the pride apart and she just wanted someone to cling to when memories haunted her.

Haziel was starting to wonder if she should have stuck with her mother when she had found her again after the war. She thought choosing love was the right thing to do and her mother had supported that. Now the young lioness was left without love AND without family. Something was going to have to give soon or she was going to lose her mind. It wasn't like she could just go wander the rogue lands to get some excitement with all the security. She barely notices the other lion at the water hole as she dipped to drink

Itri looked up at the female who walked over to the water hole he didn't know her and he wasn't sure if he wanted to get to know anyone or put himself out there again, he had tried a few times now to find a mate and they had all disappear or dumped him. It was starting to feel like a trend and he wasn't sure if it would ever go right and he would find a female who was actually interested in him. Shaking his head he cleared his head of the dark thoughts, she was still a member of the pride lands, which meant she was a pride mate and he should be polite to her and not see her as just a possible mate or possible female who might break his heart that wouldn't be fair. He went over to her and smiled "Hey." He said pleasantly.

Haziel looked up and it was like the other lion was suddenly there out of nowhere. Oh she REALLY had not been paying attention, huh? How rude could she be, ignoring one of her own pride like that. The lioness nodded her head at the male. "Good day." She didn't know this male, but she had seen him around once or twice. She really hoped the little start she gave had not been noticeable. "How are you this day?" She wondered if this male would think the way she spoke was weird.

There were a few members of the pride that thought she was a bit of a snob because of how she spoke, but really it was just left over from her old pride. Cubnapped or not, she had been part of one of the noble houses. Even those that stole her away made sure she acted the part of a noble just in case the uprising didn't work and they needed spies in the enemy lines. Haziel may not have agreed with their ways, she had always been strong willed, but she still did what she had to to survive. Now it was second nature.

Itri looked at the female and smiled "I am alright and how are you this day?" He asked being nice, he wasn't sure what this female was like or if they could be friends. He figured at this point he needed to make friends with a female first and then figure out if that female was ready to stick around and wanted to stay together rather then disappearing on his every time he got close to someone. It was starting to feel like his entire life. His own family gone, he had heard his old pride had taken a sharp turn from when he was a cub, nothing was the same. Then he had entered the pride land following a pretty female in youthful foolishness. He had thought it was true love at first sight. Only to have her disappear. Then he had connected with a female after the stars fell and she disappeared as well. He had no luck in matters of the heart.
