Nadry had eased herself out of bed while it was still dark outside, slowly and quietly so as not to wake her lovers (or at least make every effort not to).  She'd been snuggled comfortably behind C'lusi, rather than tangled in the middle; it had happened several times in the last few sevendays that she'd been hopelessly trapped but needing to get up, but opted to suffer through rather than wake anyone, so she'd taken to cuddling a bit more strategically when possible.  It was annoyingly inconvenient - really, couldn't her body wait just a few more hours? - but off she'd gone, dressed in just enough to make the trip down the hall and not be flustered if she wasn't the only one out and about.

Instead of going straight back this morning, though, she opted for a detour.  It was late enough (early enough?) that breakfast would be well on its way to ready, so she headed down to the kitchens to collect some.  She was already up, after all, so why not?  It was R'shahar's rest day, and with breakfast retrieved, they'd be able to stay in well into the day if they liked.  And she...rather suspected that staying in might be in order, although not necessarily for the usual reasons.  She slipped back into the weyr as quietly as she'd left it, set the tray down (then rearranged it a bit to fill the empty space left by a pastry that had mysteriously disappeared on the way up the stairs), and slid back into bed, this time behind R'shahar, but with one arm snaked around so that she wouldn't be without contact with both.

Things could stay the same for just a little longer, before she went and changed them.

Sorry for the delay!

Mr Cheri

C'lusi almost woke up when he felt Nadry stir and slip away--a sleepy blink, a half-sit up, before he collapsed back against R'shahar and is hold. Without Nadry there, he snuggled closer to the still-sleeping bronze rider, and let his eyes close once more. He had planned on waiting for Nadry to return, certain she'd only be a moment--but he wasn't quite ready to be fully awake, and in only a few breaths, the brown-haired man had slipped back to sleep.

His doze was interrupted a second time by movement--this time of Nadry climbing into bed again. He felt her arm sneak around R'shahar, and for a moment, attempted to reach her with his own. Old habits died hard though, and while his shoulder shrugged, his phantom limb made no connection. Still, if he could have, he would have, and instead, simply gave a small murr in pleasure at their limited connection. R'shahar might be extra pancaked by him, but surely, the bronze rider wouldn't really mind, would he?

Sleep, of course, was beginning to elude him, and he leaned forward to plant a small kiss against R'shahar's chest, before peeking over the man's shoulder to see if Nadry was asleep or awake. The smell of warm food was staring to circulate about their weyr, and though he wouldn't have minded sleeping in longer, the prospect of food, and company, made his sociable heart sing. Honestly, he wanted nothing more than what he had. R'shahar, Nadry, and three happy dragons. His mother and sisters were both at the Weyr, safe, sound, happy; he might have hated having lost an arm, and Macuith a leg, but they were alive. He was... grateful for what he did have, and though he still sometimes worried and feared he was less loved, or less desired due to his ugly scars, he was in a better mindset than he had been earlier in the Turn.

It was fortunate for Nadry that R'shahar slept like a log. Very little could move him or wake him. Shifting, the big man rolled over... and dragged C'lusi and Nadry closer into his arms.

"... Not... the tubers," he muttered, clearly still deeply asleep. "N-'Slusi, don't... " Don't what?

Perhaps no one would ever know what he didn't want C'lusi to do, but that might well be for the best. Now that both of his lovers were safely nestled within his hold, he surely did not have to worry about what might or might not happen. Settling again, he burrowed his head against them... and fell more deeply asleep.

While being grounded had often left her feeling somewhat adrift without a typical wingriding schedule and duties, she had to admit that some aspects of the situation had grown on her, like lazy mornings and extra time with her beloveds.  And given everything that had happened, the extra time was certainly a boon.

Nadry was awake enough by now to have no hope of getting back to sleep, but she was perfectly content to be nestled comfortably back in bed regardless.  She hadn't been entirely stealthy about returning, though, and felt C'lusi stir.  When he peeked over their bronzerider, she flashed him a fond, if slightly guilty, smile...which was right about when R'shahar, still fast asleep, pulled them both closer and rolled over.  While she didn't object, it was an unexpected maneuver that she wasn't quite prepared for, and she squeaked and might have flailed a bit in surprise.  She might even have elbowed one or both of them.  She most definitely did burst into a fit of giggles, which wasn't helped by muttered protests about tubers and C'lusi. Whether the two subjects were related or not was a mystery.

If C’lusi hadn’t been quite awake upon Nadry’s return, R’shahar made sure he was fully awake by the end of it. Getting snuggled further into R’shahar, getting rolled in the process, and taking a Nadry elbow on top of all of it was enough to chase any drowsiness away. Along with Nadry’s fit of giggles, C’lusi laughed, and squirmed, and did his best to try to stir the sleeping giant. “R’sha--haaaaar,” he half laugh-choked as he struggled.

He loved his giant of a bronze rider, he certaily did, but sometimes it was hard to move with all his weight. And havig only one arm, these days, didn’t much help. “Baby—” he squirmed again, also taken by fits of giggles and laughter. “Gotta--oof--wake up! Nadry help!” He laughed, one arm flailing. They were doomed unless R’shahr moved.

She might have started the giggling, but once C'lusi took it up, it became practically impossible to stop. Even her apology for elbowing him was half-swallowed by giggles as she tried to squirm her way into a more potentially helpful position. Their poor bluerider was well on his way to squashed, and while there was lots to love about R'shahar, well. There was a lot of R'shahar period. There were occasions on which that could be difficult.

Once she managed to wriggle mostly free, she scrabbled for a hold to try to roll the bronzerider at least enough for C'lusi to attain freedom. And maybe they would get lucky and a bit of manhandling would wake him up! "C'moooon," she laughed. "Don't make me get Sneaks!"

No one wanted a flit tongue in their ear. Especially not that flit's tongue.
