With the DNA of some of Earth's fighters, she was melded together into an as of yet unseen life-form. Through her gestation, she was conditioned to seek out and absorb her "parents". The ones who so graciously "donated" the building-blocks to create Soma. Additional indoctrination led her to believe that she should attempt to absorb anyone stronger than herself as well as subdue any and all androids. The brain-washing had a unique effect; Soma becomes obsessed with whomever her current target is, believing she is doubtlessly in love with them. To the point that she wants to "become one" and "taste" them.
