          xxxASTRONOMY ~ EExxx
              ■ Tristan liked Astronomy alright, but it wasn't exactly a priority or a point of interest for them. They showed up to class and did their work, but they didn't always retain the information as well as they might've liked and their performance was, at least by their own standards, a bit lacking. Still, they were doing above-average, so they didn't worry too much about it.

          xxxCHARMS ~ EExxx
              ■ Tris was a fairly average wand-user, overall, but applied themself to this specific class more arduously than their others. Charms is a practical course, and also more or less the foundation of most magic, so it seemed pertinent to be, if not an expert, then at least experienced.

xxxDEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS ~ Axxx
              ■ Ideally, Tris would've liked to do well in this class. In practice, however, they oftentimes lacked the spark necessary to make such magic work. They're fairly certain that, were they to be in actual danger, or to find someone they cared about in danger, there would be a much better result. But, in a controlled setting, their motivation isn't enough for any sort of impressive display.

          xxxHERBOLOGY ~ Oxxx
              ■ Tris rather liked Herbology. They're quite fond of their Aunt Adalaide, who was always very helpful with information regarding the course. If they had a question, she was quick and enthusiastic with an answer, which was very helpful. Plus, plants and being outdoors are calming for Tris, so they loved this class.

          xxxHISTORY OF MAGIC ~ EExxx
              ■ Tris loves this course, but it doesn't quite love them. They're not terrible, but their memory can be a bit hit or miss at times. They have a hard time keeping dates straight, and sometimes get similar names mixed up or can't quite recall which first name goes with which surname. They figure they have enough names and dates to worry about with their huge family and all the birthdays in it. But, they applied themself so that they could do well enough on the exam.

          xxxPOTIONS ~ Oxxx
              ■ Like Herbology, Tris could always count on their aunt for help here. Unlike Herbology, this course is actually taught by their aunt, so they had real-time hands-on assistance. They're not quite the prodigy she was, but it's pretty close. Mostly they just have to remember to watch the clock and not start daydreaming so much they don't realize they need to be stirring or moving on to the next step.

          xxxTRANSFIGURATION ~ Axxx
              ■ Transfiguration and Tris don't always see eye-to-eye. They've tried their aunt's approach by just trying to apply their natural shape-changing ability to the spells, but it doesn't quite take. They also aren't exactly the best at math, so that approach doesn't work, either. They mostly close their eyes, try to visualize, and hope for the best. But, the best isn't always great.

          xxxART ~ EExxx
              ■ Tris is more musical than artistic as a rule, but they do enjoy any form of art that they can get gestural and potentially messy with. Chalks are a personal favorite. Of course, they're not much for discipline, preferring to just 'do what they feel', so sometimes the end result is a bit... unrefined. They're also not very attentive in class, tending to get lost in thought more here than anywhere else, which can be something of a problem.

          xxxDIVINATION ~ Axxx
              ■ Tris took this class out of curiosity, and though they're not very good at it, they certainly find it interesting. Their major downfall is that they tend to go much more personal with their interpretations of things, which is alright with the professor but not so much on the exam. Their score suffered as a result.

          xxxHEALING ~ Oxxx
              ■ Unlike their other wandwork classes, Tris was bound and determined to excel here. They like to help people, and a lot of the people they care about are, shall we say, a little on the reckless side. They weren't very good at it naturally, but didn't let that stop them in the slightest. Their score came out just barely over the mark for an O, but they're quite proud of it.

          xxxMUGGLE STUDIES ~ Oxxx
              ■ Tris didn't take this course, they just took the exam. Their father being who he is, and general family being who they are, passing it was a breeze. They don't even have magic in the house except when necessary because it might mess up their dad's home theater or the video game room.

          xxxMUSIC ~ EExxx
              ■ This was Tris' favorite class, really, but again, the lack of discipline was something of a hindrance. They tend to get distracted and just start doing whatever they feel like, rather than focusing on the actual material. Still, they have a decent enough background and skill level that they are certainly above-average at it.

          xxxMYTHOLOGY ~ EExxx
              ■ Tris took this class mostly because they know how much their parents loved Professor Harlowe. They also ended up loving Professor Harlowe, and the material was somewhat more captivating than the regular history courses. Still, details get fuzzy here or there. They were actually somewhat surprised they managed such a high score on the exam.

          xxxWIZARD LAW ~ Axxx
              ■ Tris couldn't quite say why they took this course, but they definitely regretted it. They didn't allow themselves to fail, because they're not the sort of person who fails an exam. But it was a close call, for sure.

          xxxCHARMS ~ EExxx
              ■ Again, Tris found themself struggling somewhat with this course, moreso since it was the advanced level. However, it's always a useful skill to have, so they applied themselves as diligently as they were capable of to ensure a good score. It barely managed to edge over from an A into an EE, but they're fairly pleased with that.

          xxxHERBOLOGY ~ Oxxx
              ■ Herbology was an easy class for Tris, even moreso once Professor Hill was no longer their professor and they felt comfortable enough to relax. The advanced classes were obviously more difficult, but the simple fact that Tris was actually comfortable in the greenhouse alleviated a lot of the trouble. Add in Ada's help, and getting an O was a breeze.

          xxxHISTORY OF MAGIC ~ Axxx
              ■ More names, more dates, and more confusion was basically how Tris would sum up taking the NEWT levels for this course. They figured it was a necessary evil, since it's always good to have a robust understanding of history, even if you miss little details here and there. They're not about to win any trivia nights, but they were at least able to pass the exam with a respectable, if unimpressive, score.

          xxxPOTIONS ~ EExxx
              ■ Tris enjoys potion brewing immensely, and does have something of a knack for it. However, having a knack for something only gets you so far, and the problems they had with focusing in the lower levels definitely made things worse in the advanced. While they weren't in danger of causing any catastrophes, their end results often tend to be just a bit over-brewed, thus either lacking power, or having a smidge too much.

          xxxHEALING ~ EExxx
              ■ Tris decided somewhere in their fifth year that they were quite interested in the prospect of becoming a mind healer. While this course isn't technically required for that, they figured it would be a handy one to have anyway. They've heard stories of... situations, other mind healers have had (no names or real details, patient confidentiality being what it is, but still) to know that sometimes having a skill at more traditional healing can come in handy. The course was a real struggle, but they managed to just barely get an EE.

          xxxMUGGLE STUDIES ~ Oxxx
              ■ Again, Tris didn't take this course. They weren't even sure if they needed the NEWT exam, but they wanted to have it just in case, seeing as it comes in handy often and is something many people find they need too late. But, passing was easy; they grew up in an extremely muggle-friendly house, after all.

          xxxMUSIC ~ EExxx
              ■ Tris isn't really interested in becoming a musician as a career, but it's something they've always gravitated towards as a way to kill time, or to soothe themselves and others. So, they figured it wouldn't hurt to keep the idea in mind, just in case other plans didn't work out. It's somewhat ironic, they know, that they're banking on an art as a backup plan, when usually it's the other way 'round. But, they know that their cousin will happily get them a job in the theater if they need one, as long as they're up to snuff.

          xxxMYTHOLOGY ~ Axxx
              ■ Tris did slightly better on this exam than history, but only slightly, and only because Jack would not. shut. up. about it. They figured it was easier to remember myths, because a lot of times the dates and names aren't important, since they're made up. But, they get the names of gods confused, often with hilarious results, and can cross wires on details of similar myths. It was enough to drop their score down to an A, if a high one, at least.
