Soft Shadow was taking the day off for once, she wasn't out looking for herbs, at least she planned to try to avoid collecting herbs, but some rare ones might be too tempting to ignore. She huffed no no she was not working today, she was taking a break. Soft made her way down to the lake she figured she could go swimming even though the water might still be a bit cold this time of year. She made her way to the lake and sat down by the water working up her courage to jumping into the chilly lake water. She smiled as she watched a group of turtles swim by it was such a lovely day and the sunlight on the water was so lovely. She sighed out softly, she had thought once that Dream might be her mate, but things had not progressed with him so she still needed to find someone she hoped she would find a mate, but she was the least forward wolf ever. Soft was a shy gentle sort and normally let other wolves take the lead in situations. Well except for healing, she planned out gathering herbs and making medicine that was her best skill.

He felt so lazy lately. Well, he was always lazy! But today was just more than ever. Clay Fox was lounging on a rock, dual colored eyes staring straight up at the bright sky. There was a slight breeze in the area, rustling his fur. It was peaceful. How long would the peace last? A small rumble in the distance caused the male to jolt off. “Obviously not long enough,” he murmured, shaking his head. The scout rolled to his feet, glancing towards the rumble. “Afternoon storm?” He hummed, watching the dark clouds in the distance. “Maybe they won’t come this way.” He thought to himself, stretching. He turned towards he small lake nearby. “Just a drink,” he murmured, before spotting the white wolf nearby. “Hey! You’re…Soft Shadow…Right?”

Soft Shadow looked up when she heard the thunder she frowned it would figure if the one day she had taken off from work it would storm and ruin her day. She then heard someone say her name. She looked up and nodded "Yes I am Soft Shadow." She said softly "I'm afraid I don't know your name." She looked the male over curiously. She listened to the sound of the storm she heard coming closer and she sighed. "It figures we get a storm on a day I decide to take a day off, no rest for a healer I suppose."

“You don’t know my name? Aww,” Clay Fox feigned hurt as he flashed a cooky grin to the healer. “I’m Clay Fox. The one and only. You know, kid of Two Tone, brother to Moonlit Snowfall!” Well, not biologically, but no one would ever tell Clay that.
“I guess it is okay you don’t know me. I mean, I am out and about of the pack mostly. Gotta keep scouting, learning the land, all that fun stuff. Though, life on the outside has been pretty boring. I need to take a page from Kindle’s book, and go further from Bluestone. Maybe there is where adventure awaits!” Or, if anything like Kindle, perhaps the chance of some rendezvous. It seemed that girl would be scouting and come back with more members growing in her belly.
“But a storm is nice! Just stay all warm and cozy in the dens. That’s an enjoyable day off, no?”

Soft Shadow blushed when Clay Fox acted offended that she didn't know his name offhand, she was still somewhat new to the pack and didn't know everyone. Then she realized he was only teasing her and she let out a relieved breath. She smiled "I have met your father he seems nice..." She blinked thinking "Come to think of it I haven't seen him lately, how are your parents doing?" She asked in a soft tone. Soft Shadow shrugged her shoulders "I did not care for living as a rouge that is why I joined Dawn Star." She was not really the adventurous sort, perhaps she would go if she was asked to serve as a healer. Soft considered what Clay was saying "Well I suppose but being outside is nice too, but I suppose sitting at the den entrance and watching the rain could be nice too." She smiled "You are very good at looking at the bright side of things."

At the mention of Two Tone, Clay’s ears swiveled back. A small frown lifted to his maw slightly. “I haven’t heard from him. North Star went up to see how he was doing, but he hasn’t come back yet. Hopefully soon.” Between his own rabbit familiar, and the raccoons that traveled between the north borders and here, Clay was sure to have more news. But frankly, the coons spoke with Two Tone’s flesh and blood, where he unfortunately was not of.
“I’m sure Melodi will make an announcement with how he is doing soon.” He answered her finally.
“Ah…rogue life. I…don’t remember that.” Two Tone had found him as a small pup, and from there he had grown knowing only pack life. “Maybe that is why I like to wander. But, it is nice knowing I have a home to come back to.” He smiled.
“Heeyyy, you know, I try.” He chuckled. “No use looking at the negatives in life you know. Keep moving forward, look at those positives.”
“So, Soft Shadow, have any fun healing stories?”

Soft Shadow nodded listening to what Clay was saying, she wondered what was going on and why Two Tone had disappeared at all, but she figured she would find out sooner or later. It was all right regardless. She nodded "Yes rouge life is not always easy." She said softly "So perhaps I have done enough adventuring for now." She laughed softly. She shook her head "I don't really think of healing stories as fun normally they involve taking care of the sick or injured it is my job one I am proud of."

“Aww, come on, surely you have something fun to tell? No like, amputated limbs or missing ears?” Healers lives surely had to have some sort of spunk to them.
Clay flashed Soft Shadow a grin, just as the thunder rumbled closer. He glanced towards the sky. The once bright blue area now darkened. The air felt heavier too. “Okay okay, you don’t have to tell me anything. But, would you at least do me the honors of accompanying me back to the family dens? That is, before we both end up looking like drowned rabbits out in this storm.” As he finished, the thunder rumbled again. “Sure sounds like it will be a bad one.”

Soft Shadow smiled at the cocky male wolf "Not everything is about taking off limps or missing ears, sometimes it's just taking care of the winter illnesses and mothers having pups." She smiled again she liked this charmer. "I would like that very much being a drowned rabbit does not sound like a nice day off." She started forward so they could head back to the den together.

“Oof, you don’t have to tell me about mothers having pups. Seen it enough times, I am good.” Especially with his daughter having a litter already, making him a young grandpa.
“No need to go into anymore detail.” He laughed, shaking his head. “Just don’t tell North Star I said something about looking like a drowned rabbit though. He may nibble my ear off in my sleep, and then you will certainly have a fun missing limb story.” Another shake of his head as the first rain drop fell on his nose. “Ah, we best move quickly then.”
