It had been as it always had. The days had come and gone yet nothing ever really changed for the unicorn mare. Most days were spent finding injured animals and avoiding injury herself. Mother called her blind to danger but what did mother know.
As she made her way through the woods there was a happy little hop in her step. Tossing her red mane about she gave her blue tail a swish. Riding on her back were various little critters. Squirrels, raccoon, an opossum with a bundle of babies. Atop her head a few birds perched while mice clung on to her tail.
“Iiiiiiiii woke up today! The sky is clear, the sun is warm and everything is going to be ok. It’s going to be a won-der-ful daaayyyy!” She let out a laugh of amusement As she sang the words before stopping in her tracks. A turtle lay on its back in front of her. “Oh no!” Leaning forward she nudged it back to its feet. “Phew! Aren’t you lucky I came alone Mr. Turtle? Oh! I’m sorry Mrs. Turtle.” Stepping over it she continued down the path. “Take care!”
Once she had put some distance between herself and the turtle Faith began to hum her song again.
