โจโพโจVathek is a shore with a vast ocean of mystical water that Witches can walk on top of. On the shore are massive spiraling towers of deadwood and mushrooms. These spires are created by the enchantments of demon tools that allow them to grow along the ocean. Every tower is the home of a sorcerer who is able to grow and control their own spire using their unique demon tool. Vathek is therefore the central hub of sorcery where sorcerers go to study their demon tools and arcane magic circles.

โจโพโจApotheosis would leave the massive winding tower of his home. He stepped out of the ivory tower to feel his feet on the ground once again. He had special assignments to gather Kishin eggs for the Witch Queen. The Conduit's hunger is most insatiable. Yet, the power of my magic increases with each and every Kishin egg that I gather. Most useful. Apotheosis thought to himself as he walked across the arcane ocean. The amount of magic being pumped through arcana was palpable. The pull of magic called him deeper into the depths of his own obsession. He walked across the vast ocean and searched for the evil souls that had invaded Arcana. Apotheosis reached a certain spot in the ocean and surrounded himself in magic circles. The arcane magic of the area would allow him to sink below the surface and be able to breathe. Apotheosis swam deeply into the ocean until he found an underwater castle. He was quickly surrounded by a dozen screeching sirens. Their howl was as unnerving to him as nails on a chalkboard. Out of reflex, the sorcerer threw his arms outwards and conjured numerous eldritch whips from his magic circles to ensnare and destroy the sirens. Apotheosis delved deeper in the water and waded his way into the crusty sea castle. He broke the doors in using a magical incantation before swimming into the castle. When he swam deeper into the castle, he found his first target. He unleashed a fireball that sustained itself under the water with magic before destroying the mermaid. Once she was destroyed, he grabbed the Kishin egg and absorbed it by magical incantation.
โจโพโจApotheosis continued to swim through the massive castle structure. The walls were tall and the halls were seemingly unending. He knew that there were five other Kishin eggs in the complex somewhere. The sorcerer assumed that the mermaid was the one using her madness powers to manipulate the sirens. Perhaps the sirens themselves were illusions. Apotheosis questioned reality itself quite often while on the hunt for the Conduit's fuel. Another disturbing possibility to him was that these creatures were powerful enough to seep into Arcana without a witch. He always assumed that Arcana was so pure until he obtained his one star position in the Grand Coven. Somehow even the creatures of Arcana could become Kishins and their raw power was worth harnessing to make the realm even stronger. Apotheosis considered the possibilities as he searched the castle at the bottom of the mystical ocean. Apotheosis screamed under the water, yet no sound came out. An enormous serpent coiled around him out of the shadows within the dining hall. His eldritch circles glowed brightly and violently as they resisted the serpent's wrap. Apotheosis began burning the serpent with his spells by channeling the fire through the magic circles. When the serpent swiped downward, its maw was caught on an arcane circle. The venomous fangs of the evil spirit smashed into the magic circle before it was rebuffed. The clever sorcerer released a fireball into the serpent's mouth while it was opened. It was a terrifying display as the inside of its mouth was charred. Apotheosis now had the upperhand. He released one final spell that destroyed the massive serpent. He used a magic circle to catch and absorb the Kishin egg once it appeared in the middle of the room.
โจโพโจApotheosis took a triumphant pose once he destroyed the serpent. He only had three more Kishin eggs to collect in this castle. He only hoped that they would not run away in fear after discovering the death of their allies in madness. Apotheosis swam out of the dining hall in search of the ballroom. He could sense that this was where his next target would be using the Witch Queen's magical emerald. This was the highest number of spells that Apotheosis had ever cast in a single day. He spent the last two decades constantly studying the magical theories. He knew how to cast but this was an entirely new level of magical application. It was terrifying although exciting to get to actually use this power. With each spell cast, however, he could feel his power growing. It was simply addicting. The sense of power that he felt as he destroyed his targets and took their souls was beyond comprehension. Now he could understand the appeal of joining the DWMA in a way that he never could before. Magic was a true power but he could see the appeal of becoming an elite Kishin hunter with a death scythe or some other tool of destruction. Apotheosis could feel magic emanating from the demon tome. He stored the Kishin egg souls in the demon book which was also the source of his arcane wizardry. The witch continued to paddle about until he found the ballroom. This was an even grander-sized room than any other he had seen in the sea castle. Apotheosis then saw, as if on cue, another enemy appear. It was a devilish-looking creature with madness energy practically emanating from him. Apotheosis unleashed a stream of flame from his largest magical circle. The enemy used madness energy to destroy the fire and defend himself. The intensity was picking up as Apotheosis repositioned his magic circles. He defended himself from an onslaught of madness blasts from the Kishin egg. Suddenly, Apotheosis launched another ball of fire. However, it clearly missed its target and the Kishin egg target looked and laughed as the blast of flame flew away. At the last second before the fire could slam into the wall, an eldritch circle appeared and redirected the fireball. The blast would consume the Kishin egg target completely.
โจโพโจThe sorcerer absorbed the Kishin egg and continued on his journey through the castle. There were only two targets left to defeat. Apotheosis swam out of the ballroom and went to the treasury vaults. The difficulty of these missions was notable to Apotheosis. It was a great deal of trust and confidence that the Witch Queen placed in him as a one star. Perhaps she was testing his mettle or simply wanted to send him to his death. There were many possibilities with that conniving Queen but Apotheosis took it in stride. Particularly because he knew that there was no way that he could fail. He was going to be the next grand sorcerer, after all. Apotheosis was in search of the parlor room which was presumably used for lounging. Apotheosis swam into the room and immediately found his next target. He fired a massive fireball toward her and obliterated her on immediate contact. The Kishin egg would then be enveloped within his demon book.
โจโพโจApotheosis swam out of the parlor and headed toward the throne room. The most troublesome of the Kishin eggs would come from the creature that created this unnerving castle in the first place. When he entered the throne room that was in the center of the sea castle he immediately saw his target. It was some sort of odd-looking troutman with a crown on its head. This king of the sea slammed his scepter into the floor as he stood up and glared at Apotheosis. It was as if the king of the ocean Kishin egg was patiently awaiting him. The throne room was covered in algae and seaweed that coated the jewels and other immaculate decorations. The fish king immediately unleashed a form of hydromancy at him. The torrent of water was immediately stopped by a magic circle that prevented it from making contact with the sorcerer. Apotheosis opened his demonic tome as it floated in the water next to him. The magic caused it to remain dry as Apotheosis waved his arms about. Another oceanic spell was performed toward the sorcerer. It was a drill of saltwater that was directed at Apotheosis. The drill would collide with another magic circle. The drill of oceanic magic slammed into the magic circle. The magic circle cracked before it crumbled. Apotheosis performed a fire spell that would collide with the drill before they canceled each other out. Apotheosis threw out another blazing ball of flame magic that passed through a magical gateway. The spell enhanced it so that it became arcane fire. The spell collided with the ocean king before singing him completely. Always loved pan-seared trout. Apotheosis smirked in self-satisfaction at his own joke before absorbing the Kishin egg in his demon tool. Apothosis then returned to the surface and left Vathek to complete additional missions.

โจโพโจApotheosis and Annie would follow the map into Vathek. This was where Apotheosis lived with most of the other sorcerers. He suspected that his apprentice probably lived in this portion of Arcana as well. That is, if she was a self-respecting sorceress. "What we're looking for is a draconic tome. They tend to be lost in...less than obvious areas. Or heavily guarded by some dangerrrrous magical anomaly." Apotheosis stopped walking to keep studying Annie's map illustration as he looked around the area. It was mostly filled by tall sorcery towers and nothing of note. "I think we're getting close, but nothing looks promising. What do you think? This is a test, girl." Apotheosis had no idea for the moment but he wanted to make it seem like he was testing his new pupil.
The map took the group to Vathek, an area among the sorcerers who resides here: just one look gives off that impression. Wide, open... empty with roots growing from its ocean. Fannar had his arms crossed once he step foot onto the ground, taking some time in looking around. โ Well, this is going to take ages seeing how much space there is. โ He mutters. The best option for this is splitting up-- cover more ground if they wanna found these tomes. Unfortunately, this occult doesn't know this area and these two brain-lets do, so he's going to have to listen. โ Alright, leader... what's our next objective? โ
"With the power of Music, we can unite the world!" Cecilia Villanova | Level 1 | โ | Witch | Sorcerer | Artist | 100 / 100 Mana
Cecilia trailed the group, looking in awe at the sheer vastness of the area. She had heard about this from her aunt, but didn't have an idea at just how incredibly she underestimated it. Extra-dimensional spaces were something else. She listened along as the ones she knew as the Hot Head and the Green Haired one talked. It seemed as if this would be a venture led by the red-head, which didn't exactly thrill Cecilia. However, she might as well try to make acquaintances. "So, I don't remember catching any of your names. I'm Cecilia Villanova. My aunt's the one that brought me here. Her name's Astrilda Florentina. Just curious if any of you knew her."
While Cecilia was utterly oblivious as to her Aunt's true nature, she was notorious among those in Arcana as someone who would throw anything and everything under the bus to get the results she wanted. Astrilda was obsessed with her personal vanity. The reason she even thought to teach Cecilia to begin with was because she didn't want an untrained witch running around in her family. This is something that she was open about with a few of the circles she was begrudgingly part of, both on her part and the rest of the groups'. She was also known heavily to heave off any responsibility haphazardly, which is exactly what happened to Cecilia.

Annie followed just behind Apotheosis, casually sitting on her broom as it hovered above the ground. One hand would remaining on the handle while the other went to carrying whatever the great and powerful old guy would want from her. It was a residential district for most other sorcerers which Annie did recognize and had used to live her before the whole "Mom accidentally perverted the laws of nature and created an elixir for immortality thing" and getting them kicked out. Ah well, way more important things to worry about, like a dusty a** old tome. The apprentice listened to the man's description about where they might be able to find the tome it was that they were looking for. All good points, as many things worth getting were usually hidden in far away locations. But then he decided to quiz her! "Huh?! I haven't been here in like...Actually, how long HAS it been?" The girl pondered to herself, bringing a hand to her chin. "Probably like 500 years. Maybe. I kinda lost track." The girl shrugged, having the detail not fazed her one bit while looking around the environment to see what they had to work with.
"Well, if it's old and valuable, then it's gotta be hidden around somewhere, and since there's just a buncha trees and a water around, my guess is that one of the towers might hold something to help us find it. Or maybe one of the trees has a secret compartment. Honestly, why do you guys live in a swamp?" she asked, looking towards the woman in the back while spinning around on her broom. "Nice to meet you fellow witch and guitar person. I dunno an Astrilda, but I bet Mom knows. She knows practically everyone here!"

โจโพโจApotheosis became more serious as he searched around the area for where the map was marked as the spot for the tome. Finding the next tome was essential for getting closer to his final objective, finding the Book of Eibon. When Cecilia asked for his name he struck a self-aggrandizing pose. "I'm the grand and glorious sorcerer, Apotheosis!" He used arcane magic to swirl around him and enhance his presence even further. He held his arms up before sensing that there was more in the area than met the eye. "Hold on..." The sorcerer dismissed his magic before stroking his chin. When Annie implied that she was over five hundred years old, Apotheosis waved his hand in her face. "This is not the time for exaggerations, girl." He did not believe her for even one moment. When she asked why he lived in a swamp, Apotheosis wagged his finger again. "There's powerful arcane magic here. You'll have to get used to it if you want to be a sorceress." Apotheosis pointed his nose at the sky as he started walking around. "The map says it's here, yet far away. Magic requires us to use more than our eyes to see, Annie. I'd bet it's in another plane attached to Vathek." Apotheosis explained in as condescending of a manner as possible. He started snapping his fingers at the three other witches in his company. "All of you! Start casting non-dangerous magic. Preferably arcane, but other mongrel magics should do as well." Apotheosis only truly respected the sorcery arts. He showed them an example as he created a magic circle which caused a small "rift" in space next to it. The sorcerer wanted to see if this could help them find the way.
Although, barely listening to Apotheosis striking a yawn or two; Fannar nearly lose footing from hearing Cecilia's aunt name, now turning his focus on instead. That name--- now mentioning it, the same woman who gave him a hard time towards her personal gain. An annoying witch. Unfortunately, he's in the presence of one of her family relatives, the urge to strangle or a warmly welcome is making the witch go crazy. It took some time to stop himself after a couple of minutes and then after, slapping himself with an frozen hand; a mark is left behind. โ Hmm.... I suppose it's nothing too bothersome with introduction. Fannar Shiva Valkoinen at my service--- check down any nidicolous nicknames I receive, I highly doubt anyone would wish a dive 12,000 below underwater to find a body. โ He replied back.
As Apotheosis announced his plan, the occult didn't wait to make the first step, jumping high enough before disappearing in a cloud of smoke; changing silhouette form in its midst before landing back down on all fours. โ If what he's saying is true... guess I could break out that new spell I've been practicing for a while... โ The fox stated, closing his eyes to concentration quietly.
This is the ability to turn into an animal. This may also be used to turn into a human. Finally, this ability can be used to turn into something in between the two, frequently just a human with animal ears and tail, but possibly something more animal than that. This ability can always be used without breaking Soul Guard. It may not be used more than once in one post while in combat.
"With the power of Music, we can unite the world!" Cecilia Villanova | Level 1 | โ | Witch | Sorcerer | Artist | 100 / 100 Mana
The young rocker listened as the others introduced themselves. Apotheosis was grandiose. He'd have fantastic stage presence, if he wasn't so full of himself. Fannar, on the other hand, was cold. And why did he slap himself? She hadn't had any intention of insulting the man, but Cecilia made a mental note to just call him by his name. Sounds like 'nicknames' were off the table. Jeeze, are all witches this full of themselves? The fledgling witch shook her head as she just listened to Apotheosis' next recommendation/order. That, she could work with.
"You got it, hot-head." Cecilia unslung her guitar as two small arcane circles appeared beneath her feet. With these, she could literally fly, but for now she would use them as stepping stones into the air. Waving her hand in front of her, she would be standing sideways in the air, and aimed at the ground. The arcane circle in front of her allowed her to strum her guitar, unleashing subaural soundwaves into the circle to try to elicit a response. "Makes sense that a hidden item would probably require non-magical means combined with magical to find. I don't get the impression anyone here partakes of anything other than the art of magic."

Such a flamboyant boss she had. The witch couldn't help but snicker again at Apotheosis being his usual self that she had all but known for the grand total of an hour, maybe a couple. It was hard to tell from exploring for ancient tomes and things. Annie would find herself eager to see that dusty a** old tome for herself! What kind of fun stuff would they be able to find inside when they did find it. She idly checked the map she had drawn again before looking up. Annie huffed at Apotheosis' finger wagging, the witch giving a pout towards the warlock. "But Apopooooooooโฆ" she groaned, leaning back on her staff while she let out a frustrated whine all before listening to his words of wisdom. She'd blink about using her eyes, mulling the thought over in her head. "More than our eyesโฆ" Annie said to herself while he would suddenly pull a plan out of nowhere. Her inexperience with magic realms and dimensions showed, but it wasn't like anybody else was running around, jumping into portals. But casting magic was something she was always good at!
"One spellstorm coming up, boss!"
Annie, along with the others in the group, would begin casting spells aplenty, with the younger witch getting practice on her arcane circles and the like. They weren't as solid and perfect as Apotheosis and his grand, lavish arcane magic, but she was still new to this. Mostly, anyway. This continued for a while until Annie would wait for the signal to stop. "Kind of a shame we can't cast the fun magic. I would have loved to start throwing fireballs out."

โจโพโจSpace around them began breaking apart as magic cut through the air. There was a shimmer as the air around them was disturbed. Magic was literally a part of the foundation of Arcana so this was of no surprise. When Annie mentioned "fun spells" Apotheosis unleashed a fireball so large that it would impress even little Annie. Instantly, a portal opened that divided the open air in front of the group in half. Apotheosis looked yonder through the mystical gate and saw empty magical space. The book was floating around in the portal and Apotheosis's firey eyes became manic. "The tome!" Apotheosis jumped into the void after it with complete reckless abandon. The sorcerer started floating aimlessly through the void world. The others were welcome to jump in and help. "AHHHHHHHHH!!" Apotheosis shouted pompously as he waved his arms around wildly.
โจโพโจApotheosis was obsessed by the prospect of finding the Book of Eibon. Gathering these tomes of sorcery was necessary to get it. Apotheosis was completely obsessed and would do anything to attain this level of power. Apotheosis's eyes remained pensively fixated on the tome as it flew around the vacuum of magical space out of his reach. A mystical wraith made from magical energy that had a draconic head began flying toward the book. Before it could bite into it, Apotheosis threw an arcane magic whip as the book and pulled it toward himself. "Hah!" Apotheosis chuckled triumphantly before the wraith bit into the book and began a tug of war. This caused dozens of more magical wraiths to began firing beams of arcane magic at Annie, Cecilia, and Fannar through the portal. "This book is mine, you stupid mana snake!" Apotheosis managed to yell out as he tugged away at the book and continued flying rapidly through space. The realm in general reminded him of outer space in the human world.

Perky ears lifted up upon the air tension hinting something off is being created. It seems that magic is one of the Arcana's foundation, any non-magic spells can disturbs its forces. Quite.... interesting. Not paying much attention as for himself was busy casting a few madness strings around until a burst of wind interrupt their space eyeing where it was coming from, seeing it in-front of them. Fannar too stared within the magical space spotting the book-- the exact book he's been searching for. However, before the green haired could react; a certain redhead blindly jumped after it regretless which anger him, most noticeable by his form shifting back into his human form and snarling with showed off his canine teeth. โ You---- POMPOUS IMBECILE!! THINK BEFORE JUMPING INTO A MAGICAL VOID! โ He shouted inside. โ Great....--- GREAT! Wherever this place is, this fool just HAD to catch like a dog! No wonder, you sorcerers only react instead of thinking... Ugh...! โ Fannar snapped, trying to mentally halt himself from losing it. โ ...I'm going in. I suggest following, the last thing I want to an earful from the Queen about her top fairy dust wielder missing in action. โ Not waiting for a response as he too threw himself into the void vast.
The main reason why Fannar followed was that book--- and the only that book, even though Apotheosis is obsessing over it; that book must belong to him. While staring straight-forward, magmata orbs soon stared at this tug-of-war happening. This contact caused magical wraiths to suddenly aim themselves at the other three. Annoyed, he took a deep breathe in then unleash an ice beam from his mouth towards the beams of arcane magic to counter it.

Cecilia couldn't help but start playing her guitar as soon as Apotheosis reacted. And this track's name fit him nicely, along with Fannar's commentary of the hot-headed mage. It looked as if following him was going to be dangerous. Well, if that was the case, then Cecilia would have to run support.
First off, however, she'd have to handle these blasts coming their way. She'd be able to take two of the five easily, strumming her guitar to redirect the two blasts off to the side. [Dodge x2]. This, however, led to her playing a quick riff to empower Fannar and Apotheosis. [Musical Chairs]. "Hey, how about we don't piss off the native wildlife, yeah?!"
