PERSONALITY: Evelyn has a very posh and elegant demeanor, holding herself to high regard above all else as she walks with the air of a noblewoman. She prides herself on her accomplishments and is always pushing herself to do more and more, sometimes to unhealthy extents. While outgoing normally, Evelyn does let her age show on a few faucets of her personality. For one, she's very impatient when it comes to things affecting her and will grow restless if her needs aren't met.

Her stubborn ways do have a tendency to rub people wrong however, but she ultimately does care about them enough to believe that it's her job to make sure they'll get by just fine. Evelyn also hides most of her worries and fears when with others, often out of a fear of rejection. Her own family, older siblings included, often mocked her over the minute details, leading her to develop anxiety when things don't go the way she planned for them. If repressed too much, the cleric may suffer from an anxiety attack.

BIOGRAPHY: Evelyn is the youngest member of the D'Aramitz family, a group of dedicated clerics whose conviction to cleansing the world of Madness and all who embrace it. They're well known as a zealot-like family. From its creation, all family members had been born in that same desire to seek to spread their names across the lands, taking up arms as clerics to this war against the unjust. Evelyn was no different, having wanted to follow in her father's footsteps since the tyke could even walk. So be it by some stroke of luck that the girl had a knack for utilizing her soul for the aid of others. It had been a constant in her life that Evelyn saw it as nothing more than a privilege to do her part in her family's legacy. When she was able to hold her own, the girl was welcomed into the family's more strenuous training methods. Her siblings, often larger and stronger than herself, would often remark about her progress until that fateful day she would crumble to the floor during her daily meditation.

The doctors had called it condition but she viewed it as anything but. Her family's insistence on training her from such a young age had reared its head, with Evelyn suffering from something most of her sisters would laugh at. Some would drop from the day's wounds or over-exhaustion, and her, the youngest in the family had been bested by a panic attack. Still, she ignored her condition and pushed herself even further than before, determined to not be thought of as a sand bag to the family. More hospital trips were made as a result, which only resulted in further teasing and outbursts. Evelyn would eventually be unable to stay at home anymore, and quietly left to attend the DWMA.

The girl took her studies rather seriously, wanting to start her meister career as quickly as possible. The girl wasted no time in passing class after class, until she had been besting her classmates in spars while they towered over her. It wasn't long after that Evelyn would receive word from the DWMA about attending after years of awaiting the fateful day she could walk through the halls, the youngest of her family to attend such a school. After arriving on her first day, she's hoping to find a permanent partner that will help her seek the fame and power that she sees as her birthright, though keeps her horrible secret to herself.

While remaining loyal to one Demon Weapon partner, the meister gains one additional perk per level.
ARCHETYPE: Ruler
โ‡จโ‡จโ‡จโ‡จ Ruler souls tend to value order and have the tenacity to defeat chaos. Their wavelength is generally quiet with an occasional blip. Rulers are tough but slow and inflexible. They gain 1 point to guts but lose 1 point in dexterity. Rulers gain two perks in a guts skill. Rulers gain +25 spirit per level up for a total of 125 at level 5 if Meister class. Madness influence rulers at one tier lower, not stacking with anything else that grants this innate resistance. In soul resonance, rulers are highly compatible with heroes, sages, and everymen and incompatible with outlaws. They are neutral with all other archetypes.

Spells/Techniques List
Cleric
โ‡จ Praise Be | Level 1 | Tier 1 | Resource
The Cleric enhances an ally's abilities. Using language or movement, the Cleric enables one target to use one technique in their next post at one level higher for no additional resource, up to five.

โ‡จ Prayer | Level 2 | Tier 1 | Resource
The Cleric speaks truth to power. General speech can be enhanced with this technique, but the Cleric can also recite mantras that reinforce their strength if they so choose. This ability cleanses one target of all Madness. If used on the self, it can only heal one tier of Madness per application.

โ‡จ Safe and Sound | Level 3 | Tier 2 | Resource
This prayer enables the Cleric to protect one ally. The ally can ignore one attack coming their way in their next post without having to pay for a defensive technique or a dodge. This technique has a three post cooldown.

โ‡จ Faith in Health | Level 4 | Tier 2 | Resource
The Cleric cures a chosen ally of any injuries. Additionally, the ally is relieved of one tier of Madness. Finally, any curses or remnant spell effects on the ally are removed, but the Cleric or the ally must pay the cost of the spell or spells being removed on top of this technique.

Soul Perception
โ‡จ Clairvoyance I | Level 1 | Tier 1 | Spirit
The Meister expends their energy outward, using their mind's eye to detect souls within twenty feet. This technique can be augmented with perks that specify different types of information. There is no cooldown for this technique, but it only lasts for two posts.

โ‡จ Body Check | Level 2 | Tier 1 | Spirit
The Meister expends their energy outward, augmented their physical vision with the power of their mind's eye. This permits them to analyze someone's body language and determine what kind of attack is about to come their way. This grants an unstackable resource reduction of one level to dodge or defend against. If in Soul Resonance or otherwise in telepathic communication with a teammate, the teammate receives a singular resource reduction to a dodge or defense if the Meister senses it. There is a three post cooldown for this technique and it only lasts for one post.

โ‡จ Soul Reveal | Scaled Level | Tier 2 | Spirit
The Meister expends their energy outward, using their mind's eye to specifically target one entity. This ability allows them to see through a Soul Guard. This technique is only usable on one target at a time, and can be augmented with perks that specify different types of information. There is a three post cooldown for this technique. The Soul Guard is seen through, not outright broken, so anyone not using this technique to perceive through the Soul Guard is unable to see it. The cost paid is equal to the rank of the Soul Guard used.

She's cocky to a fault and enjoys not taking things at face value until they're spelled right in front of her, consequences in full. When Madness induced, Neon is highly emotionally volatile. She can't control herself and is prone to lashing out at anyone while either hysterical rage or trying to calm herself as a result. BIOGRAPHY: Neon was a street kid who lived with her older brother, Sylas, for the majority of her life. Despite their less fortunate living status in the innards of Death City, Neon was still able to enjoy a bit of her childhood while spending her days with her brother and his gang. While some members who adamant about bringing in his tyke sister, they still treated her as their own and made sure that nobody laid a finger on the boss's most valuable treasure. Some members took her out tagging one day, where she found a quick love of her artistic defamation and would spend many an afternoon practicing her next masterpiece. During this time, she adopted her current alias that is still painted on some of the walls to this very day. Neon lived a relaxed life until that one fateful day when the Moon would grow close over the city and the town ran rampant with Kishin. Neon, now a young adult, would jump to the defense of her brother. They found valiantly but were too late, as the gang fell to this pack of raving lunatics or came close to falling under the same spell. Among these people were Neon, who was found and rushed to the DWMA for treatment. She was treated well, but her troubles had afflicted her with a vulnerability to madness. Because of this, the staff would pair her specifically with a meister they had in mind.

Regardless of the Madness tier of any opponents (or lack thereof), the user can generate abstract, incomprehensible visual-only illusions that confuse the opponent. This generation isn't an ability and doesn't cost an action, nor does it induce increased Madness, but it can cause confusion and distract opponents. These can be things like the untrackable 'eye squiggle' that some people get in the corner of their vision, but can also be things like vague doodles that can't be looked at directly or even visual glitches in the environment that fix themselves once the opponent(s) look at it.

The Kusarigama fills the area with smoke to blind the assassin from view before attempting to ambush the target from behind. This smoke makes the assassin's movements silent to others and conceals them from soul perception for one post. The level of soul perception technique required to discover the assassin is equal in level to the amount of stamina applied to this technique.

โ‡จ Ensnared Reap | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Stamina
The chain of the kusarigama extends by five feet per level of the technique while one scythe is being thrown at a target. The chain can be manipulated mid-air to wrap around the target and completely ensnare them. To break out of or dodge the chain requires a technique or spell of the same level. Once the target is ensnared, any offensive kusarigama technique is one level harder to dodge.


MADNESS

This ability allows the user to change their physical size. Techniques used scale to the user. This ability allows the user to make themselves the size of 3 feet tall to the size of a two story building. Efficacy of techniques are unaffected. This ability lasts for three posts.

The user holds a hand out and shoots a condense beam of Madness out. The aesthetic appearance of the attack can change into anything the user desires. The sting inflicts a raised tier of Madness on the opponent.


STREET FIGHTING

The user will throw sand, dust, or some kind of similar substance in the eyes of their opponent. If successful it becomes 1 level easier for anyone to block or dodge the affected individual's attacks for 2 posts. Substance may be thrown up to 10 feet away.

โ‡จ Cheap Shot | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Stamina
The user will target a particularly vulnerable part of their opponent's body, and kick, punch, or do just about anything to it within melee distance. This can vary from person to person of course. Due to the sneaky nature of this attack, it can not be blocked however it can be dodged. To properly dodge this the person in question must leave melee range during their dodge.

Annie is the sole daughter to Morgana Eulris, a witch who served the Coven whose methods to magic were shrouded in mystery. The girl was raised alongside most children in Arcana and took to magic quickly at a young age. Yet she was absent minded and cared little for studying, only done after enough pressure was applied. So like any good parent with a scatterbrained Witch, Morgana brought her atop a hillside one fantastic night and gave to her a potion whose essence matched that of the stars above them. With a careful drink, Annie was forever free to play as she pleased. Her studies did lax as the girl found her focus playing pranks on victims outside of Arcana and enjoying what little things she could squeeze out of the day. People played with her, grew up, had kids of their own and vanished, yet the girl remained. When it came time for her demon tool, she would find her calling in an ordinary broom turned into her personal ride into the stars above. It was only until the shock of losing her mother that Annie did begin to take her duties seriously, now faced with the realization that her gift was not all that it had been shown up to be. Centuries went by and she slowly found herself grower more dull to the pain, leaning into her playful antics as an escape to face her reality. Every magical creature knows how to cast a spell to protect their soul from prying eyes. This ability hides the soul's magical inclinations and makes it appear human. This ability lasts until the witch uses magic or by their own will. It can be pierced by Soul Perception techniques. When broken by the witch or pierced by Soul Perception, Soul Guard cannot be replaced for four posts.

The sorcerer generates magic circles by flowing mana into their demon tool. The sorcerer is able to create up to twelve magic circles that float in the air and are freely manipulated by the sorcerer. The color and design of the circles are at the discretion of the user. The edges of the circles are as sharp as blades and the faces of the circles are as hard as steel. The circles can be grasped in the center by the sorcerer and able to be wielded by hand. Depending on the level of this spell, the circles can be up to 10 feet wide per level (10 feet at level 1 and 50 feet at level 5). The magic circles can defend against lower-level spells and techniques, collectively dividing the strength of the technique. This technique has a four post duration.

The Witch channels a scaled level of mana through a magic circle and causes it to glow. The sorcerer is able to cast a spell through a magic circle and use it as a gateway for the spell. A spell cast through a magic circle cannot be higher level than the magic circle itself. The spell will often change color to match the color of the magic circle. When a spell is fired through a sorcery gateway, it is not detectable through Soul Perception, but is still visible to the naked eye. The distorting magic surrounding the technique also negates any dodge bonus the opponent has.

PYROMANCY
โ˜พ Fireball | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Mana
The pyromancer generates a ball of flame and shoots it at the target. A scaled amount of mana is applied to create the fireball. The fire will destroy any enemy technique or spell that is lower level than it. The fireball is also ten feet wide per level of the spell to a maximum of fifty feet at level five.

The pyromancer cloaks their body in flame to protect themselves from incoming techniques and spells. This spell lasts for three posts to protect the witch from same rank and lower spells, though it dissipates when it is struck with a same level attack or enough lower spells to match its resource cost. Targets that enter within three feet are instantly set alight.

BIOGRAPHY: Rhett Abernathy, the oldest son of the Abernathy family, began with a rather privileged start compared to most others. His parents, two rather well off business owners, had given him the benefit of their hard work. They were just beginning steps of associating with the other high off families of such. Any toy he wished was given, and any desire was met with the upmost haste. While starting off as snobbish as a child, this divide between him and other children would eventually lead him into falling in between most other children. His wealth and rather gifted appearance caused most of the other youths to ignore his requests to join in the fun. The other, typically snobbier children of families he visited tended to belittle him for his upbringing and caused a rift in between the two extremes. This caused Rhett to keep to himself and tend to focus on his studies and remain in his marble prison as a child. While glad for his safety compared to other kids, his parents did remain worried for how their son would be able to communicate with most other people well. It was a common sight to see him being dragged out of his room to a gathering as he remained off in a corner somewhere, keeping to himself as he was reading from a book or playing a game. Rhett would soon discover his fascination of weapons and meisters after learning of their exploits from the newspapers and wish to become one himself.

His very first school, a rather unknown school in training meisters and weapons, was his first stop among many others. His upbringing of strict coursework and his rigorous routine of keeping to a schedule of perfected schooling had brought him wonders in term of placements. His professors praised the boy's grades and presentation as he constantly would push himself to outdo himself on every assignment, often to his own degradation. Yet all reports had always the same notes given to his parents. Signs of lacking communication with other students. Instead, he was commonly found in the library by himself or staying away from the other kids. His timid behavior made friends a rarity, with even fewer knowing personal things about him. This streak continued throughout his school year, as his parents would begin searching for somewhere that would offer more advancement than what his current school could offer. Their search landed Rhett into the esteemed Death Weapon and Meister Academy.

His journey to the DWMA was the first time in his life that he's fared by himself, his sheltered life leaving him a little lost in what to do around the school. He arrived at the school a bit confused and was searching around for the new student orientation but was wandering around the campus for an hour or so before somebody found him, a weapon by the name of Joan. She helped him along and the two would very quickly become close friends. By some luck, without Rhett knowing, she would be paired with him in an effort to help encourage him to step out of his comfort zone and push himself in his social interaction while attending here. Ever since, he's tried his best to make sure that Joan won't be too ashamed of him for that.

The Meister is able to generate a second identical construction for no action or cost in the same post as their first. This is usable once every five posts.

This perk can apply to one construct technique every five posts. The technique must be used within ten feet of the opponent; it induces a sense of nausea from the distorted soul energy within the construct and removes an action from the opponent. Can only ever effect one person and cannot stack with other action removals.

Soul Resonance
โ‡จ Resonance Barrier | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Spirit
The Meister channels the Soul Resonance energy outward, producing a visible barrier around their person and that of each other team member. The tier of this technique determines its strength, although the barrier will act one level higher in strength if the Soul Resonance includes three or more people.

โ‡จ Resonance Wavelength | Level 1 | Tier 1 | Spirit
Even if the Meister is uninitiated in the art of fighting with a wavelength directly, experienced Soul Resonance Meisters are capable of channeling their wavelength and their partners' wavelength easily, producing a radial blast from their person that is twenty feet wide.

โ‡จ Soul Piercer | Level 2 | Tier 1 | Spirit
The Meister weaponizes their resonating soul wavelength in a spear-like shape ahead of them. The spear of wavelength shoots out from their person up to fifty feet ahead.

โ‡จ Witch Hunter | Level 2 | Tier 1 | Spirit
Named after the famed scythe Meister technique, this skill uses the same concept of sharply channeling resonating soul wavelength energy through the weapon to grow it in size and strength. The Meister is able to produce a basic attack or swing with this technique active, which will treat magic-based defenses and techniques one level lower in strength. Lasts for two posts.

Soul Wavelength
โ‡จ Aggressive Shock | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Spirit
This shock is designed to hurt. On top of doing damage appropriate to its level, this kind of shock tends to disorient the opponent and frequently leaves them seeing double. The opponent's next attack misses if they've gathered less souls than their opponent.

โ‡จ Disabling Shock | Scaled Level | Tier 2 | Spirit
This shock is focused far less on damage and much more on inhibiting the opponent. This technique prevents the opponent from using the last attack they used for the rest of the battle. This is only usable on one opponent in a battle and the level paid is equivalent to the technique being locked.

โ‡จ Oppressive Shock | Scaled Level | Tier 2 | Spirit
This shock is focused far less on damage and much more on inhibiting the opponent. This technique reduces the opponent's action by one in their next post, only affecting one opponent, regardless of how many are struck by this technique. Only usable twice a battle and not on the same opponent.

Soul Construct
โ‡จ Soul Orbs | Level 1 | Tier 1 | Resource
The Meister creates 1 - 10 orbs the size of a baseball. This can be used to distract, harass, or block the enemy. Additionally, the Meister could hold onto them and use it for mobility. These constructs last three posts.

โ‡จ Soul Armor | Scaled Level | Tier 1 | Resource
This technique is created only in contact with the Meister's body. Soul construct energy surrounds the Meister to protect the body. The armor can look, aesthetically, however is desired. This armor lasts two posts per level.

โ‡จ Soul Barrier | Scaled Level | Tier 2 | Resource
This technique must be created in contact with the Meister's body, typically extending from the palm of their hand or the their foot for convenience. Soul construct energy surrounds the Meister in a typically spherical manner. It can extend up to twenty feet wide and twenty feet tall, protecting multiple people if desired. The barrier can look, aesthetically, however is desired and does not require contact with the Meister to maintain, only to create. This barrier lasts two posts per level.

โ‡จ Soul Arsenal | Scaled Level | Tier 2 | Resource
The Meister can create any weapon at will. They can also create things like chairs or tables. The limitation is that no more than five separate components can be created with this technique per level. Each component cannot exceed ten foot by ten foot dimensions. More complex things like people can be created but they won't fool anyone or move on their own.
