[PRP] Flurries in the air {Maeve x Erebus}

Maeve grinned as her hooves sank into the fresh snow, more flakes adding to it by the minute, and couldn't believe she'd made it as far as she had on her journey. A few months back Maeve had set out from the den she'd been keeping for far longer than she had intended. The idea was to explore as much as she could and meet as many soquili as possible. Of course, the idea had been grander in her head. In fact, there were many weeks where she didn't see a single soul. Since winter had begun, she'd encountered even less. She couldn't blame them. When the worst of the season was close at hand, Maeve had set about preparing a small cave to keep her through the harsher weather.

Her pink eyes trained on the cave opening that stood not more than a short distance away, the entrance slightly hidden by a rock which helped ensure the snow didn't come inside. She quite liked the location. Now she stood in a small open space, enough room to frolic to her hearts content; but just beyond it was a forest rich with berries and the most delicious little mushrooms. It had been a bit of trial and error with a few of them. She watched as rabbits nibbled on certain one's and avoided others which meant she avoided them too. However, once she ate one and had the most delirious dreams. After that she decided to stick to the one's she already knew were safe from past experience and didn't try to test new ones. Clearly that rabbit had been up to no good.

Maeve stopped her hooves, turning about in a circle, a small laugh escaping as she felt the snow crunch beneath her hooves. Where she was from, it didn't snow and over the last few years since leaving her family she'd only had light dustings of it--if that. She'd be sticking around here for a while it seemed. That suited her just fine.

[Death Resurrected]

Erebus glided through the air effortlessly. Upon the white landscape he stood out, like a shadow sweeping over the lands. These were the moments he lived for, where he felt free. His mind was at peace as he whipped through the air. He was still trying to process the separation of his parents. He understood it, but at the same time the other wished that it was different. If only his father had put in the minimum effort that his mother deserved. For raising them and providing in any way that they needed. Despite Erebus’ aloof and sometimes prickly personality he grew up in a loving family. Although he knew that he wouldn’t have been able to affect his parent’s relationship it didn’t stop him from thinking that he could have. He climbed higher into the air before letting himself fall, as soon as the ground neared his wings flared and up he went again.

When he started to finally break a sweat in the cool air he decided it was time for a bit of a break. Landing gracefully into a trot, with the flick of a tail he scanned the area. From above he hadn’t seen anyone, but he hadn’t exactly been paying the best attention. A deep inhale, resulted in no unfamiliar scents and he went to find something to snack on to regain some stamina.

He made his way into the woods where it appeared there was a small clearing…berries and mushrooms. If he had to pick he did have more of a sweet tooth. Some of the berries and mushrooms looked unfamiliar but the scent was tantalizing.
