A one on one rp between Natelie and Kara Asumie. Prompt: Wintertime in the Kawani is in full swing, and February is no exception! A strong snowstorm and cold front has blown into the lands, blanketing much of the land in white. Some areas have completely been overwhelmed by snow--and places that are typically warmer or never see the stuff have also been covered in the white stuff.
How is your Soquili handling this snowstorm? Were they caught unaware? Are they experiencing snow for the first time, or are they used to it? What do they do now that they're living in a winter wonderland?

A snowstorm blew in over the mainland of the kawani catching many residents unprepared. Atlas was in his element, feeling the cold against his body was pleasing instead of miserable. It was still falling down around him in snowflake clusters and steadily. His pawed feet sank an inch into the fresh snow leaving behind his mark where ever he walked. The sound of crunching snow followed each step. Currently the storm had relatively calmed, an effect that surely wouldn't last long before another blast of high winds came through. Except for the wind blowing enough to cause wisps of snow off the snowbanks that piled in many areas, it was relatively quiet. Those who were too cold to be out in the storm were bundled up some place safe. He paused in his tracks when a different noise, plant rustling, caught his attention. Glowing eyes traveled over the scene finding mostly trees, shrub and blinding white around him. Amongst the white, a mostly white rabbit popped out of a snow burrow and darted across his vision. Darted back and forth until it disappeared behind a tree. The stallion walked over towards the burrow and moved around it. Stuffing his muzzle into the snow nearby to rummage for roots or low lying plants that could be medicinal in use. He pushed at the spot until he found cold dirt but no plant. Inhaling a breath he tried to sense out which direction to move. Surely around this spot would be something useful to him. Even if it was just a winter edible, it could come in handy. WC: 266

Wisp had noticed a storm was coming as she went and found an area to hide in. She had found a group of berry brushes that she curled up in the middle and allowed the storm to cover her. The storm came and with all it's might covered Wisp and the brushes covering her with so much snow leaving her in a makeshift cave of brushes and snow. This pleased her as she woke up to see the snow made cave that she was now resting in. Looking a bit cover her tail was a white rabbit that then got spooked when Wisp moved her tails a bit. This made the rabbit ran off. When this happened Wisp noticed the sounds of snow crunching about. Thinking that was she is wearing is another soquili out there moving. Now what breed? The way the noise sounds it could be a walker or another pawed pony. Smirking Wisp waits for this pony to get closer and when that happens she then stands fully up fast and in one motion which pops up the snow in a way that it would scare another watching this happen. She even cutely said "Boo." Giggling as she shakes the piled up snow off of herself and then looks at the male before her. Wow she thought as Wisp can't help but thing that he is a cutely. Flicking her tails as she watches him and waits to see what he is going to do now that she has just popped up out of nowhere. If she likes his reaction then she might stay about him and play in the snow. If he seems stuck up or anything that would ruin her mood then she would go off on her own to play in this fluffy snow. Had taken a few steps from the burrow, muzzle buried under snow when movement beside him caught him by surprise. The mound exploded and there in the same spot was a dark pawed female. His nose scraped at dirt before his head shot up. He immediately took a step back, eyes widened briefly. A clod of dirt sitting on his snout. Her cute 'boo' made his ears swivel forward towards her. He wasn't expecting another soquili and she was a pretty one too. After the moment of shock, he chuckled "Well that's not something that happens every day. Were you sleeping in the snow?" He asked curiously, taking note of the snow still draped over her back and gradually falling off where she stood. "Or were you lying in stealth to catch an unsuspecting prey?" He joked, of course he wasn't exactly prey but if she was playing around he could be seen as such. Her victim. His long whip like tail flicked over the snow, brushing the top layer to one side from the motion. He lowered partially against the snow as a canine would lower the front half of their body for a pounce. His tail curling behind him. "If you were wanting to play, I am game" WC: 210

Wisp smirks a bit as she giggles. Both tails flick in different directions. "I had nature make me a makeshift cave from brushes and snow to sleep in. You would be shocked how warm it is in a cave of snow." Watching his getting in a pouncing pose as she snickers a bit and side steps as if to start circling him. This fast movement made the remaining snow fall from her back. Then all of a sudden she also gets in a pounce pose but doesn't stay there long. "Ok then let us play a game." With that she pounces towards him to see just how fast he can react to her quick movements. Wisp might be on the small side of some others with paws but she has so much speed that others lack so it is fun to watch her move. This is why she is so good with pranks. Because with her speed she can get away if something goes wrong. This is for fun though and with that it means she doesn't need to flee. This stallion doesn't seem to be a danger and so Wisp can relax and have some fun in this beautiful winter wonderland that nature has given to them before the second wave of the storms hits. After all there is no telling if the second wave of the storm will be worse or calmer than the first was. Although Wisp would gladly play throughout the storm no matter the out come. She is a bit crazy in that area of thinking. But in her eyes life is indeed too short to allow it to pass you by without getting the fun and joy from it that one needs in order to live a life of happiness before it all ends. WC :: 300

Atlas nodded his head to her statement. He had been in a few banks of snow himself but not usually to sleep in. "Like a pocket. Protects against the cold wind." He agreed. What would be more shocking is finding someone that couldn't handle cold and snow like he did. It didn't make sense to him. From what he could tell so far, she was similiar to him especially if she would taking naps in the otherwise open space. He watched her start to circle then pounce towards him. While he was larger, he moved away quick enough at least to prevent paws touching from closeness. He got back into that playful pose with her. "Alright. You go first." With those words, that long tail of his swooped around to bap her lightly on one of her tails that was in close range. He jumped up off the snow and started to jog away, waiting to see if she would chase or look at him like he was in fact the crazy one. Maybe they both were just wired differently, out there in snowy weather playing games like it was a normal spring day. Should she chase, he kicked up some snow as he picked up pace to keep away but not top speed for the fact he was actually playing and not running for his life. He wanted to be 'caught' as it was the point. The stallion laughed as he ran over the fresh snow, his mane flagging behind his head from the wind. WC: 256

A giggle with a smirk creeping across her face as she takes chase and darts through the snow after him. After all playing in the snow is one of the best things in life. Winter was Wisp's favorite time of year. She taught her kids to love or at least like the snow even if it was only from a distance. Because snow and winter showed some of the most beautiful sights in Wisp's eyes. She darts from side to side picking up her speed to go after him. There was nothing like this feeling of a good game in the snow. She hasn't had fun like this in a while and this was something she needed. So happy that she found someone to play along. Normally if she wanted to play in the snow she would need to drag someone with her. So having this stallion wanna play a game in this snowy wonderland was just so epic and she is going to have as much fun as she can. Once close enough she jumps up to pounce onto his tail. She judged it in time so she should land on the tip of his tail but if he dodges then she is going to go face first into snow which at least there is a lot of snow so her landing will be in fluffy soft powdery snow. Atlas looked back to see if she in fact took the playful bait to chase him or if she was staring after him. Usually it entailed the expression that he was crazy. Foal-minded. When he saw her close to him so quickly he bolted, darting out then around her with a chuckle. He hadn't found anyone fun since his actual foalhood. Feeling like a colt again was freeing. His paws kicked up waves of snow like it was water instead, falling a few inches away from his form. Suddenly he stopped and bowed down again in that goofy dog stance of play. He looked around before feeling a swipe pounce at the fluffy tip of his tail, making him retract it from her like a whip. He bounced and turned himself around, face to his with the mare. "That is mine." He joked, flicking the long appendage back to land on her head. Tendrils of black, fine, hair flopped over between her eyes. "See, doesn't suit you." He continued. In that, she had been touched and thus the tag was returned and he started running again. The stallion ducked behind a tree then dove, ungracefully into a huge snowbank. He managed to tuck his large body in but part of his long tail still stuck out for her to find. WC: 220

Wisp could not help it but giggle as he put his tail on her head. She then chases after him. She is so quick on the snow that she doesn't kick up a lot of the snow. With a smirk on her face as her eyes never stop following his movements from the tree to the snowbank. She then darts far off to the side as she jumps up landing on a trunk of the tree pushes herself off of it as she aims just right. This helps her land on his tail again. But after a split second after pouncing onto his tail again she bounces backwards and turns on the drop of a dime spinning about. Once facing the right direction she then takes off. Skipping across the top of the snow as her speed increases with each step.
Wisp was having fun and this was something she was enjoying so much. It has been a long time since she has been able to have true fun with someone that isn't from her bloodline. This makes her smile as she keeps her speed and leaps up landing on a big boulder. Stopping for a moment to look behind her and spot him before picking where to go now. WC :: 210

Hid under the snow, not even bothered to make sure everyrhing was in fact hidden. She had probably seen him pile in anyway. He was so amused with himself and his current friend that he had forgotten all about his original task. He had yet to find, and hardly looked for, any herbal plants. So far he hadn't been the best at this self made task. Having found one little plant so far since winter began and had uprooted to a small pot he found left out from some of the humans. It was back at his little spot he sort of called home, safe from snow piles and blizzards. It wasn't long before he felt the female pounce his tail again and unbyrrowed the male it belonged to. "HAAA!" He would yell to see her fleeing away as quick as she was. Quickly shook the snow off his fur and back before gripping the snow and darting after her. She was faster then he could keep up with, if it was even her best speed. He weaved through some trees and ducked around, trying to move in front of her to catch her. Every so often a dark paw swiped out when she drew close to a tree, to tag her. He kept missing, partially on purpose. Curiousity striking to see what she would do next. They were heading towards more trees, rocks and somewhere under all the snow was a stream or river. He couldn't recall which, just there being water nearby. He watched her hop up onto the boulder, snow falling down steadily that it sometimes obscured vision. It was a sure sign that the storm was working up again but until then the stallion came up from out of nowhere and bopped one of her twin tails with his paw. WC: 304

Stuck on the boulder as when she was looking for the next place to head to. She stops sees the clouds and storm coming back and this one will be stronger then the first one. Feeling him touch her tail snaps her out of her deep thought as she looks at him. "We might have to call it a night." She looks back at the storm coming towards them as it consumes everything in it's path. "Might be safer to either find a cave to wait out the storm or head back to our homes." She looks back at the stallion who is now at her side. Waiting to hear what he has to say to this. After all this storm is going to be a lot worse and one should take shelter from it. Who knows what the temp will drop to once it hits at full force.
Wisp flicks her tails one after the other as she goes back to watching the storm. Just why did this storm have to form again and take away her fun? This stallion might not be one she runs into again and that would be sad. "Oh yes in case I forgot to say it before. My name is Wisp." She points out as she can't recall if she gave her name to him. Seeing she wants to give him her name before they have to go their own ways. WC :: 238

Atlas didn't get the response he had hoped for. She wasn't chasing or running to continue their fun game. "Hm" he looked up at the sky with her and now he paid attention to the reason the snow started coming down more. The darkened sky and looming storm made it now impossible to ignore. Not if they both wanted to stay safe. Blazing blue eyes dropped to the mare on the boulder beside him then up again. He didn't really want to believe it. The time had slipped away so quickly as they played. "It's just more snow." He joked at first. The look she gave him showed he should take it more serious. That was hard for him but he nodded and let out a breath like a sigh. "Going home sounds best." He could agree that for comfort and safety, it would be best for her then holeing up in a cave with him, a stranger. The storm could last days. When she gives her name, he would smile "Wisp. It was a fun game today. Mine is Atlas. After this winter, maybe we could find eachother again. Stay safe friend." He said. Before he left her, he gave one of her tails another playful pat with a paw as he turned from the boulder. Just like their game, he started running in the opposite direction then her. Heading to home was sad in one way but he could recall the memory any time he liked now and that could get him through weeks of storm with a warm heart at the friend he made.. one snowy day. WC: 270

Wisp smiled when he said her name. "It was a great day. Thank you Atlas and I pray we meet again. Seeing I do wander the woods and forest areas for herbs for my herd." She blushes when he paws her tail again. It was sad to watch him go. Standing on the boulder watching him until his figure can no longer be seen. She then turns and jumps off of the boulder to head home. She doesn't stay next to her herd all the time seeing she is a gatherer who also helps with ceremonies when needed. Hints why she goes herb hunting. Wisp only brought it up because she thinks that is what he was doing in this area to begin with.
Out and about as she heads into the storm where she has a temp cave that works as a home. Her oldest son Akita should be there and they will wait out the storm there together. This is something that is common when the winter hits the lands. So they are use to heading out of the cave when storms are calm and back into the cave when the storms gain force with heavy elements to it. But she is happy that this winter she was able to meet someone new and fun. The game of tag was something she needed. It has been awhile since she got to take part in a fun game with someone new.
