Sugichi entered the Academy shortly after 7am despite it being the weekend. He'd picked up some tasks to do around the school to expedite his graduation from his physical therapy. Deciding to get the hard work done first, he got to work stripping down, repairing, and reassembling the training dummies. A few needed to be replaced entirely, which took some extra time, but when all was said and done the task done just before 10am.
Next up was washing the whiteboards clean. It took Sugichi a bit to find the cleaner he needed, but once he found it he got to work quickly. Each class took about 10 minutes, and he had a dozen to get through. Adding in the time it took him to occasionally swap out cleaner, he figured it would take him until 12:30 to wrap up. Motivated to get done quicker, he stepped up the pace for the last couple rooms, and finished by noon.
He took his time for lunch, enjoying a sandwich and "nutrient drink" he'd packed for himself. When he finished, he head off to another class to watch over a detention session. Technically students weren't supposed to be watching over other students, but Sugichi had technically graduated once already, and the proctor had a date. Regardless, Sugichi looked old enough not to give the younger brats any ideas, and the afternoon went by without any issues.
Next up was replacing tiles in the hallways. The ceiling tiles he needed were in the depths of the academy's maintenance offices, and the cart to move them was buried on the other end. With a sigh, Sugichi carefully removed the junk and boxes from the cart and set them aside. He then began hauling tiles to the cart before finally setting off to put them up. By the time he was done, the sun was already setting.
Eager to wrap up his assignments for the day, Sugichi collected a book from his instructor's desk and headed for the gates. The day prior, Sugichi had been asked to return the book to an antique literature store downtown. Apparently his teacher didn't travel that way much, and would rather slip a student a few bucks than make the trip. It was no issue for Sugichi though, as it got him closer to graduation. The store was on his way home anyway, more or less. He dropped the book off on the shop desk and left quickly as the keeper began yelling about a late fee. "Sorry sir I'm just the messenger!" With a smile, he headed home for dinner.

After class let out for the day, Sugichi headed down to the library for his first "mission" of the evening. When he arrived, the librarian pointed out the tasks she had prepared for him in the library office. Sugichi started with checking in all of the books and scrolls that had been returned in the past week. It was simple enough; read the title, check the register, stamp them both, and set it aside for restocking.
When he finished, it was up to him to restock those same documents, as well as the ones already ready to go up. He started with the scrolls, since they had little drawers to place them in instead of fighting with other books for space. They were also easier to find due to their organization method. When those ran out, he started on the books. These took much longer, since books were more frequently moved around, messing with one's point of reference. More than a handful of times Sugichi found himself reshelving chunks of the library just to figure out where his book was supposed to be. By the time he finished, it was nearly dinner time.
Sugichi left the library and darted off to the market for his other assignments. His favorite noodle shop had requested an extra delivery boy for the dinner rush, so he'd volunteered right away. When he arrived, there was barely enough time for pleasantries before Sugichi was handed a mass of orders and addresses. With the hot containers burning his arms as motivation, the academy student made the delivery rounds in record time. When he finished, he ran cool water over his arms for a few minutes before taking another, smaller, round of delivery. These were much easier, and the last one took him near his last objective of the night.
After his final delivery, Sugichi made his way to the forge. There, the forge master tossed him a thick leather apron and gloves. "Thank for the help. I just need you to pick up what I point out with these tongs, and hold it down while I hit it. Easy enough?" Sugichi smiled at the man as he geared up. "You got it, sir!" There he spent the rest of his evening, doing basic assistant work with the forgemaster and getting acquainted with the work space. Shortly after the sun set, the blacksmith dismissed him for the night, thanking him once again. Sugichi shuffled home, tired from a long day, and crawled into bed still dressed.

Sugichi sat in his back yard after dinner, focusing on his shadow in front of him. His hands were folded into a seal in front of him as he pushed chakra through them. Over time, he slowly attempted to push this chakra out into his shadow. For a while nothing happened, the boy simply leaked chakra into the environment. But over time the chakra eventually found its target, warping his shadow's shape. From there it was only a matter of directing it. Being a weekend, he had nothing but time tonight, so he turned up the lamp behind him and practiced under he could move and stretch his shadow to his whims.
Riding the excitement of his success, Sugichi moved on to another technique he'd wanted to try. Once again he formed a handseal, this time building up chakra thinly along his entire body. It was difficult to maintain an even coat over such a large surface, but he was confident. With that down, it was a matter of making that chakra Raiton energy. His first atempts caused stray sparks here and here, but each attempt after let him charge up a little longer. After a couple hours of work, he finally managed to charge up and discharge a mass amount of Raiton in an instant, creating a blinding flash from his body.
Now confident in his lightning ability, he decided to try mixing it with a technique he'd relearned recently. Sugichi quickly made the seals needed for the Bunshin technique, but ending on a lightning seal. He charged the technique for a moment, then unleashed it. A wiry version of him poppde into existence, looking as if he'd just stuck his finger in a light socket. Sugichi winced, and dismissed the clone, trying again and again until a normal looking one was made. It looked normal at least, but it quickly exploded into a shower of sparks. From there it was easier, and the clones took on longer lifespans until the original was content. Exhausted from the energy usage and splitting, Sugichi lied down on the back porch and drifted off to sleep to be found by his parents in the morning.
