[SRP] Sorting through Thoughts (Hikari)

Hikari was walking through the forest, the charmed pink kitsune shifter with her mind elsewhere. Her paws knew the path, even when her mind was currently preoccupied. Her mind was thinking of a certain white stripped shifter that she had started to grow fond of. She knew he wasn't evil, but had been more like some confused Soquili, she thought back. Something about that made her want to help him as best as she could, even if she wasn't always sure what way to go about it. She knew he needed more exposure to things that were knew and she was willing to help him out. She had always believed that uncharmed shifters were just out to hurt and kill, but she was starting to see that may not always be the case. Maybe some of them just were not good like charmed ones could be, yes, she knew that some of her kind could be conniving and evil, even charmed. Maybe, just maybe, there were a handful that just wanted to be left alone and just wanted to survive.

The kitsune shifter ruffled her wings softly, her ears picking up on noises of the forest in the background. She wasn't really paying attention to them, of course, it was more sound in the background, letting her know all was well. She thought of Tora in her tails, knowing how much he loved how soft they were. She wondered if it was possible he had not met others with such tails, though she didn't mind being his first encounter with such plush tails. Part of her wondered if on some level, the white tiger shifter was becoming as fond of her as she was of him. She certainly hoped so and hoped that they would continue to get closer. The shifter did not know what the future held for the two of them, but she knew she would continue to walk with Tora, for as long as he wanted to be beside her. Hopefully, that would be for as long as they lived, only time would tell. She leaned against a tree, sighing happily as her mind thought of what the future would hold, thinking only good things. Hikari had rested for awhile, before she had returned to the herd, with a resolution in her mind. She didn't know if he would accept, but she wanted to get a charm for Tora. There were members of her herd who she knew had gotten charms before, maybe one of them or more than one of them had some. She knew other shifters were bound to be born in the herd and they would need charms for the babies. The thought made her blush a little, wondering if one of those who would have babies some day would be here, she certainly would not mind. She flushed even more thinking it could be the very Soquili that she was hoping to get a charm for, the thought made her feel a little warm. She coughed lightly, glad no one was around for them to see her thinking on that. For now, she had a mission in mind, which she was planning on getting done as quickly as she could.

It would take the winged kitsune shifter a little time to get back to the main section of the herd, so her mind was allowed to wander once more. She thought of Tora and how sweet he was, how even when he startled her, he was ever so caring. She never would have thought she would feel this way about another, but here she was determined to be with another shifter for all of her life. She wondered if this was how her parents felt, did her mom think about her father no matter where she went? She knew her parents would talk a bit about how they met and had her and her siblings, but she wasn't sure what feelings went on for them as they first started to fall for one another. She would have to make sure to ask her mom later, probably her father too when she had the chance. If it was anything like the feeling of butterflies that were currently going on in her stomach, then she felt it must have been magical.

Hikari's mind then went to would Tora be alright with her charming him, she knew some of their kind did not like charms at all. She hoped he would be alright with it and allow it, so that maybe he could stay even closer to the herd, so not having to be off alone as much. If he didn't, well, she didn't know what she was going to do. She supposed she would keep coming to him and making sure he was alright, either way. In her heart and mind, she cared for him too much to just ignore him, even if he was not charmed. However, she knew he would have more of a chance to go more places and to learn more about others. The thought of getting to guide him and see the world through his eyes while he discovered more of it sent a rush of excitement and joy through her.

It took the young kitsune shifter some time, but she eventually had gotten back to the herd. She had asked who she could about a charm and was eventually led to one of them who knew where they would be. She hurried to the Soquili and explained to them why she needed such a charm. She was glad when they gave her one from the herd's supply, she was glad she had been right about them having some on hoof. With the charm in hand, she had to decide if she should wait until tomorrow to go to Tora or do so right away. Part of her wanted to rush right to him, so excited to be able to present him with this present. Another part was scared that he would not want it, but she reminded himself she was in it for the long haul, charmed or not. Plus, while she could manage in the dark, maybe it was best to wait until morning before she headed to where she knew he would be. There was just so many thoughts going through her mind, which was the best. She took a deep breath, trying to clear her mind, so she could think this through.

After calming herself, she decided morning would be a better time, just so she could get some rest. So, she had headed to her sleeping spot, to get comfortable in her bed of hay. The charm that was stowed carefully in some cloth and in a bag, even if it would not attach to her, was placed carefully beside her. She closed her eyes, a smile on her lips as she thought of things to come. No matter what, she was starting the next step in helping Tora, that is what mattered to her. Tomorrow was the potential start of something new and she was going to be ready for it. For now, it was time for sleep, so that she was ready for tomorrow. It would be a beautiful day, she could feel it deep down inside of her. She finally drifted off, allowed to dream of the future, that would be bright. (WC for this new section: 862)
