A Quiet Intersection

Her eyes still glued to her list of Christmas carols, it did not occur to Becca that she had reached an intersection. Not paying quite much attention, she kept heading south.

"Alright! Another intersection... ten points!" Fairlee proclaimed triumphantly, punching her fist into the air.

"Nothing to get excited about..." Lucifer pointed out as he hovered in the air, looking curiously to both the East and South. "Life's full of intersections, after all."

"Exactly! Which is why I'll always be ahead points wise!" Fairlee laughed, her eyes brightening as she saw the map. "Hey... look at this! Some thoughtful individual put this up just for me, I can feel it!!!"

"Uh... yeah, sure." the dragon said as he fluttered over to the map, looking down at it curiously only to make a face as the dark elf nudged him aside to get a peak. "What are you looking at this for? We all know what a bad sense of direction you have. You'll be no help."

"Hey, come on! I'm getting much better!" the light haired woman proclaimed with a self confident nod. As if to confirm this she looked down at the map, narrowing her eyes slightly in what she hoped was a look of deep concentration, and hummed thoughtfully to herself. The act dropped almost as quickly as it had begun as the girl grinned. "Wow... look at that! Ancient ruins! Those sound so cool; let's go there Fer!"

"Ruins... there's little to no chance there will be people there to sing to. We'll keep going south... stick to the plan. Remember what happened last time we didn't stick to the plan?"

"No. Did we win a lot of money?" the red eyed girl asked, her tone hopeful.

"Not even close." Lucifer grumbled, sweat dropping heavily at the memory. The small dragon flipped carefully around in the air to point his snout to the south, his blue eyes bright. "Come on Fairlee... we'll hit the ruins on the way back, ok?"

"Awwww.... alright, alright..." she sighed, dragging her feet southward.

"Uh.... Hey there, are you a relative of ZOMG_TEH_ZOMBEH?" Dvn asked lamely to a few quickly moving zombies.
"Hows about a carol or two?
Angels we have heard on high,
Sweetly singing o'er the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains. Gloria..."
She chuckled quietly before running away.

Rayne glanced round as she reached an intersection, and did a double take.
"Wait, zombies?! I thought we got rid of those!"
She headed on south, blanking the zombies.

Now, only one more carol needed to finish her goal, Becca ran north with serious determination. It was a close call, and she had to make it.

Naomi wondered where the hell the zombies were coming from. As she grabbed a fallen tree limb and took a swing at one of their heads, she sung a random Christmas tune, counting that as a carol.
