Poems in RED text are from when I was engaged so are from emotion I was actually feeling, all the rest are from before when i was just making pretty words.

EVERLOVE

My heart begins to flitter
Racing at a great pace.
When your eyes glitter
As I look into your face.

You'd think I was a fool
The way I stumple and fall
When I lose composure and cool
Because I love you most of all

I wish I could express
The way you make me feel
My perceptions are a mess
But I know THIS is real

There is only one path I can take
Only one thing I can do
Emotion that can't be fake
I go with the truth, I love you.

Here I am, close to the edge

Looking over the side, taking the fall
Fall into your eyes, let me in.

this love I feel, feel so strong
I've never known how it was
by your side, with your hand
Now I look to you because...

Heart aches without, a pain within.
cured only by ai-len
I love you unlike any one knows.
So much it always shows.

Beloved, can't you see?

Beguiled by all your charms
drawn into your arms
your eyes my everlasting maze
my thoughts a welcomed haze.

SORROW OF LOVE

Eyes red with tears,
voice cracked by my fears.
Into her bright eyes I look,
My entire body shook.
How could I tell her, let her know,
That I would leave, let her go?
How could I be enough
to deserve her grace and love?
Perhaps she'll hate me, which is best
To help forget in time's great test.
There is no way, I'd kill her dreams
But I must rip away love at the seams.
She's fooling herself, she can't love me.
I'm not like she says, How could I be?
Her knight in shining armor, her only man;
Nothing more than a bum in a rusty tin can.
Fists clenching, swallowing heart and pride;
gritting my teeth, I did the unforgivable....I lied.

"I never loved you, that is the fact;
it was all a game. A simple act.
I'm leaving, its over and done.
I played my game and had my fun."

Now I see her, and regret having spoken.
On her knees. Crying, heart broken.
Against my will, I turn away
In my heart I wish to return and say:

"I'm sorry, I do love you with all my heart,
I never wish us to be apart."

Instead I leave, resolve unchained.
Everything lost, her future gained.
She'll forget, I hope, and looking ahead.
Be past the words I've said.
To lose her now, a small price to pay.
To save her for a future day.
this rends my soul and twists like a knife,
but being with me, would ruin her life.

LOVE

Eyes sparkling like sapphires in mornin' dew.
Silken Tresses, Radiant in fair golden hue.
Voice soft and pure, honey sweet sound
Face, Figure, skin, beauty unbound.
In classic love, fallen like a muse.
But tragically, 'Twas but a ruse.
Her smile and grace did pss the hour.
Soon her affection for me did sour.
Love became a game, she no longer played.
Disdain she gained for me, in her way.
The love we had, I held in my heart.
To make it work, I tried to do my part.
But, as you no doubt have learned from my verse.
Her feelings sank from dislike to worse.
My heart broken, battered and torn.
Endless sorrow on sleeve was worn.
She took my heart, my life and soul.
Trying to earn her love had taken its toll.
Now she is gone, found another Beu.
How she hurt me, she'll never know.
Cold are my nights and bleak the days.
Love it seems, another cruel phase.
Never again, I'll ever be alone.
Never hurt again, a heart of stone.
Warmth did me a diservice great.
Learned my lesson, a bit too late.
Now far down the line
In this life of mine
If it wasn't so, who knows?
Perhaps my heart would not have froze.
Such memories are past
Dreams too good to last.
My angel, perfection to heart and eyes.
Turned out to be Lilith in disguise.
But now I've learned
Not to be burned.
When pretty girl bats lovely eyes
singing such delightful lies.
Once I'd have yearned
to have my head turned.
Now I know my own fate
to live alone without mate.

What? are you expecting something more?
That someone would even the score
Life is no old fairy tale.
My heart is sealed, no deal, no sale.
Nothing in or out, I'll not play that game.
No light, NO love, nothing is the same.

TEARS

Tears so bitter, like last summers rain.
Tears that shouldn't be, caused by your pain.
If I knew what made you cry in this way.
I'd find the cause, there'll be hell to pay.
your sorrow like a knife to my chest.
until you smile, never will I rest.
This is my quest, my goal.
To make you happy again, whole

LIFE, NOT SO PLAIN AND SIMPLE

As the tides ebb and flow
In this life of joy and woe
We must resist the urge to glance back
Upon our past's bumby track
Lest we lose the trail ahead
Worrying about what was done and said
But a warning to this tale
Look not far ahead upon the trail
While wondering which path to meet
One may lose treasure at ones own feet
Live life in your own way
Carpe Diem, Sieze the day
Too much time; looking back or planning ahead
Life passes by and then you're dead
Treat each day as your last
Worry not on future or past
Friends, family, faith and health
what need is there for fame or wealth
Love yourself, your neighbor and your earth
Filling days with duty and mirth
That my friend is what its all about
Until it ends and your candle flickers out.

FATE'S JOURNEY

Journey through winds of the fates.
In darkness, Never knowing...
Future hidden, Never showing...
Experience of Life, Ever-growing...
No man can see what path awaits.

Like a sea, forever changing...
Whether like mouse meek, or lion bold.
None can tell how it will unfold...
Fortunes in mist, Never told...
Like the sands of Time, Ever Rearranging...

Will we live, or will we die?
Our lives are ours to make,
Fortunes to give or take.
'Till the heavens open and the mountains shake.
Releasing last breath and final sigh.
