As we mentioned earlier today, we've been rewriting our profile system to be much more stable and compatible. We've also added some new features and changed some thing that may affect your profile, so please take a quick gander at this list of tweaks: Tal como anunciamos hace poco hoy, estamos re-arreglando el sistema de profiles para que sea mucho mas estable y compatible. Tambien hemos añadido algunos detalles y cambiado otras cosas que quiza afecten a tu profile, asi que por favor da un pequeño vistazo en esta lista de detalles.
The following changes are for newer (version 2) profiles only: Los cambios siguientes se han hecho en los perfiles nuevos (version 2) solamente:
Adding custom CSS stuff to your profile, and messing with the style of your Comments and Friends, has been moved to the new Profile Theme page in your account settings. Añadir material CSS a tu profile, y mezclarlo con el estilo de tus comentarios y amigos, ha sido cambiado a una nueva pagina de temas en los ajustes de tu cuenta.
We've added a "Recent Visitors" panel, which will show the usernames of people who have checked out your profile recently. Don't worry; people won't know that you were checking out their profile unless you want them to. You'll remain hidden from view unless you change the "Recent Visitors" option in your Profile Preferences panel to "Show." Hemos añadido un apartado "Visitantes recientes", el cual te mostrara los nombres de los ususarios que han visitado recientemente tu perfil. No te preocupes, la gente no sabra que has visitado sus perfiles a menos que tu quieras que lo sepan. Permaneceras incognito a menos que cambies tus preferencias en las opciones del panel y elijas "show"-mostrar.
Big Change: There is now a "Save" button! You've gotta press it, or your profile changes won't be saved! Gran cambio: Ahora hay un boton que deberas presionar/pulsar para que tus cambios sean permanentes y sean guardados.
These changes will affect all profiles, both old and new: Estos son los cambios que afectaran a todos los perfiles, tanto nuevos como antiguos
You can now choose whether or not you want to display the following info: Last login, registration date, gender, location, birthday, occupation and website. You can mess with these options in the Profile Preferences panel. Tu puedes elegir si quieres o no mostrar tu siguiente informacion: Ultimo loggin, fecha de registro, genero, Localizacion, cumpleaños, ocupacion y pagina web. Puesdes jugar con esas opciones en las preferencias del panel.
You can change whether your profile is "public" or "private" (if it's private, only your friends can view it). Hit up the Profile Preferences panel to change this. Puedes elegir si tu perfil es publico o privado (si es privado, solo tus amigos podran verlo). Pulsa en las preferencias del panel para cambiar esto
If you want to embed YouTube videos in your media section, you just have to grab the movie's URL (i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaB7BQ6PlHs) and plug it in, and it will automatically be changed to the proper embedding code. Si quieres incluir videos de Youtube en tu seccion de media, simplemente tienes que grabar la direccion/link del video, por ejemplo (i.e. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaB7BQ6PlHs), insertarlo y automaticamente se cambiara a la codificacion correcta .
Another Big Change: You can now access your profile by putting your username in the URL (i.e. http://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/Your_Username_Here or http://www.gaiaonline.com/p/Your_Username_Here).
Otro gran cambio, puedes ahora llegar a tu perfil simplemente poniendo tu nombre en la url. por ejemplo
http://www.gaiaonline.com/profiles/Tu nombre de usuario aqui
o http://www.gaiaonline.com/p/tu nombre de usuario aqui.
A final word of caution: Although we've worked very hard to make everybody's profiles work properly with these new changes, there may be a few people whose profiles broken in one place or another. You may have to make some tweaks to your profile to make it look right again, especially if you're using custom code. Un ultimo aviso de precaucion, a pesar de que trabajamos muy duro para que los perfiles de todo el mundo funcionen correctamente con estos cambios, habra quiza algunos perfiles de algunas personas que esten rotos o funcionen mal en alguno espacio u otro. Tendreis que dar pequeños ajustes para conseguir que se vea correcto de nuevo, especialmente si estas usando un modelo fuera de lo normal.
