The Original Concept:: psychotic__Gal
my character is named Daphne. She's a vampire and she's on a quest to find out who she considered "cursed" her. not only did he curse her by letting her remain the same until she is slain, but he also cursed her with a peice of anicient magic that once read, makes the people (the one who says it and the one who hears it) unable to harm each other or they too will die. She's very optimistic and enthusiastic. She looks as if she is only 19 when in reality she is really 250. She has curly blond hair, stone grey eyes, light skin,she's 5"7 and slender. Her fangs aren't visible all the time, only when she's about to "eat"...or rather drink... that's it I guess.... erm.... yeah....
here she is ::
Daphs abilities include an uncanny ability to judge the characters of the people around her. She is also a sort of natural "Lie detecter". She can also move objects with her mind, but sometimes she can't control this very well.
Personality: optimistic and enthusiastic (Like it says above) She often trusts the good in people, so she doesn't see that they can/will harm her. When she is enraged, which is very very rare, she goes on a rampage, and some of her abilities go crazy. Despite her "ditzy" appearance, Daph is actually very clever and cunning. She is a good person to give advice and she's a great friend.
Past: Daph was living in New England, around the time of the Witch Trials. Although she was definately not a witch she was put on trial and was proclaimed guilty of being a witch. At this time, Daphne was very very sweet and friendly; She was engaged to the Pastor's son, Ironically enough, and her normal life was going smoothily. However, the "evidence" that she was a witch convinced everyone that she should be burned on the stake. On the day of her execution, She walked solomnly out of her prison. She was not afraid to die, because she knew she was going to Heaven.Yet still, silent tears streamed down her face. She could not believe that the people who had loved her and whom she loved would do this to her. She could not accept this. She pleaded with the people, the man who was dragging her along, she even begged the executioner to live. But he looked coldly down at her. As Daph was tied onto the post and the flames were lit. Suddenly Daph felt something sharp on her neck, she also realized she was free from the burning post. She was lifted from her spot and carried to a quaint garden. She then felt something warm dripping down her throat. She opened her teary eye and saw scarlet. She was drinking blood. She sat up quickly as she saw the back of the man's head. She wanted to attack him but her body wouldn't move. She passed out. Later, she left her homeland and traveled. THis is when she realized she had a hunger for blood. She was now a vampire. She looks for the man who caused her to be immortal. She did not want it. She wants him dead, even if that means she dies too.

Daph is always looking for friends but when she usually finds them she accidently bites them... well not accidently... Like at her university that she got in without a birth cert... (Lol) but now that she's found a home a THoR she just wants them all to like her and she wants real friends that wouldn't be scared of her.

Daphne has slim shoulders. Her hips are narrow as well and her waist is naturally very slender and long. Her breasts are an average size.
Her arms and legs are lanky, slender and slightly athletic.
She is well proportioned in that the majority of her height isn't in one area
(IE: The long torso, or long legs), but it is equally distributed.
general appearance:
Daphne has gently curling medium-golden-blond hair that reaches to the small of her back.
She has naturally red eyes due to her vampirism, however, she wears colored contacts to make them a stone grey color--she has learned to deal with the uncomfortable feeling of the contacts over time.
Daph's eyes are evenly spaced out from one another, and they are prominent (Meaning they dominate her facial features).
They are expressive of her emotions and constantly changing in depth and sparkle as she takes on what is going around her.
She has an oval-shaped face and rosy cheeks (When she is fed that is). Daph's upper lip is slightly thinner than the bottom one and without make-up they are a soft pink color--a few shades darker than her skin tone.
Daphne's fangs are barely visible, though they extend when she is about to feed. The only notable difference, detected solely by a dentist, is the fact that they are sharper and slightly longer than her other teeth.

In the early 1800's, Daphne moved to England where she hoped to find the man who cursed her.
Later, she moved across the continent of the United States, going to colleges here and there before settling down in THoR.

She's been many things. In Ireland for example, her family were sheep herders and farmers.
At the moment, Daphne is hoping to work at the House as a maid.

Other skills of note:
Daphne isn't the typical Vampire. She can eat other foods but they only satisfy her a little, so she remains hungry. She's not always seeking blood of humans. Daphne is almost a day-walker in that she can go out in the sunlight as long as her sensitive skin is mostly covered.
Daph also has Retractable fangs and she can withstand many holy things.
Favorite possession:
A golden lock charm on a golden neck choker that she received from her beloved. It has been on her neck since she received it. It has a matching skeleton key charm that she's supposed to give to the one she will eventually love.

Daphne is cheerful and enthusiastic. She is impish and very playful. Daphne trusts the good in everyone and she hates to see the "shadows". She is often underestimated and deemed child-like. However, Daph is both clever and cunning. She gives out exceptional advice and she is more loyal than a canine. She is observant of not only her surroundings but the people and conversation in her vicinity.
Daphne is easily stressed and she can be too sympathetic. She puts other's needs before her own. She often underestimates herself.
History:
Daphne lived in the Irish Countryside with her parents at the tail end of the Witch Trials. Daphne was a good Catholic. She spoke mostly Irish but knew some broken English. English was the language of the protestants—of the British. Daphne was in an arranged marriage to the son of a protestant. She was eager to be a wife and a mother but mostly eager to please those around her—her parents, her people, her betrothed. As fate would have it, Daphne would never be married to the pastor's son. Daphne was put on trial for the suspicion of witchcraft. Though she was not pagan, the "evidence" brought against her by a woman of good standing (coerced in part by Daphne’s betrothed) convinced everyone that she should be burned on the stake. After all, Daphne spoke Irish. After all, Daphne spoke English. After all, Daphne meddled with herbs…All would be brought up to a jury of her peers. All would condemn her to death.
On the day of her execution, Daphne walked solemnly out of her prison. She was not afraid to die, because she knew she was going to Heaven—perhaps purgatory. But she knew one day she would serve her time and rise. Though she knew this, silent tears still streamed down her face. Daphne could not begin to comprehend how the people who had loved her could turn so easily and hate her. She could not see that by trying to please all, she was, in fact, pleasing none. Daph was not able to accept this. She broke out of her silent daze. She pleaded with everyone—the people gathered to watch, the jailer, she even begged the executioner to live. Nobody listened.
Nobody cared.
The spectacle was enough.
Daphne was tied onto the post and the flames were lit. Her eyes shut as she heard the jeers from the crowd. When the cheers suddenly went silent, Daph felt something sharp against her wrists, something snap near her ankles. It was then that she also realized she was free from the burning post. Free and falling toward the flames for the briefest of moments before she was lifted from her spot by something that she could not see and carried to a quaint garden. After she landed, she did not know how much time hand passed, only the feeling of lips on her skin before a warm line of blood running down her neck before…something held to her mouth and liquid flowing down her throat. She opened her near-blind (from smoke) eyes and saw scarlet. She was drinking blood.
Daphne sat up quickly just as she saw the back of the man's head. She wanted to attack him but her body wouldn't move. She lost consciousness.
When Daphne awoke, her hunger was strong. It didn't take long for her to find out that she was craving something out of the norm. She had a hunger for blood. She was a vampire. More regarding her first moments, her first feelings, the massacre

Meaning Translation:
I give you an undead life. However, we are tied by blood.

Personality:
Cian is strong and steady. He thrives in a peaceful enviornment and he loves to read. His ideal day would be spent lying in bed (Or sitting in a library on a comfy chair), reading or talking quietly. Cian doesn't like to stay in one place for too long given his past form of feeding. He never wished to kill anyone and to make this possible, he was constantly on the move. Even though the medical profession has bags of blood available these days, Cian finds it hard to fight the nature that has become his instinct. He is a "lone wolf" by tradition, rather than need--and he doesn't mind it. Rather, he didn't mind his lonely tendencies until Daphne came back into his life. Now, he can't bear to be separated. For the most part, he dislikes this need to be around Daphne as he believes it inhibits his lifestyle and ability to observe.
For all the hype about turning Daphne, almost all of it is untrue where the nature of Cian's character is concerned. He is not a vicious killer. He did not want to condemn Daphne in the first place but he knew there would be no other way to completely save her. Cian is a "Hero". He cares about others even though he seems indifferent.
Cian perfectly compliments Daphne's sporatic tendencies with his own stoic ones. Whereas Daphne is mostly intuitive, Cian relies on his senses. Given this side of his nature, Cian is highly observant of both his surroundings and the behavior of the individuals in the setting. He is hard to surprise, scare or horrify--the last is due to his old age and all that he has seen.
History:
To explain why Cian knows about magic, I decided (well, he “told me” as it were) that His maker was an oldworld Shamen. I'm not sure where she is from but she was a powerful one. She wasn’t all corrupt, but she wasn't all good either...she participated in her fair share of the Ancient Vampire Wars. (Yes I just made up an event in Vampire History. xD ). She is fairly wealthy (due to her old as Hell age) and she has several homes worldwide. She is still very strong, and she looks fairly young (I am thinking about making her a child). These days, she doesn’t really like to leave the house. Instead, she likes to stay at one of her homes and knit. Occasionally, she sends Cian a homemade hat or scarf. Cian keeps them though never wears them...unless he must. Daphne has made fun of them. (Note: Will edit this in a prettier fashion later)

Athenian citizens had to join the army/do patrol for two years (18-20) in order to become citizens (ephebes). They must train with an athletic trainer for one year, then are given their shields etc then go on patrol. Richer Athenians make up the Calvary (horses)--this was an elite group.
