well the whole sheapard and weir love thing never occurred all the feelings are from the first season and from weird to john not the other way. during the first season they thought they would be there forever and not return to earth so they were stuck with each other. thats how the feelings came about. but truly even if weir were to not leave theres a better percent by at least 2x of him hooking up with teyla. and besides thats a cliche with the love triangle.
