Max was very taken aback by the sudden entrance of the Royal Knights, but he knew what he had to do. It was time for him to stand up and fight. He looked at his partner, the lithe fighter Renamon. She nodded her head in agreement, Max didn't even have to ask if she wanted to fight. They got up and looked around. The destruction and chaos going on in the cities was staggering. Left and right violence could be seen. Digimon fighting to their last breath, giving everything they have to defend a city overrun by foul and vile opponents. Buildings crumbling and fires roaring, the city looked like a warzone.

"Where do you think we should go first?" said Renamon.

"Drive city looks like it's in trouble!" Max said.

They immediately set off together for Drive City, hoping that whatever trouble was happening down there they could at least help. They would do their best to drive back the force that threatened their beloved world. They were not going down without a fight. If this was the last time they were to be together then so be it. At least they would go out fighting for something they believed in. They stepping into the portal and set out for Drive City.

The Royal Knights had finally come to a conclusion in their search for the reason of these catastrophes, while the source still remained a mystery, yet they had some sort of idea. Nodding towards each other, they still had to take action in these now ravaged cities, and the energy signatures that were discovered were swirling all around the cities. Magnamon and Duftmon. Agreed to both travel to Drive City and Network City respectively. They both travelled through portals to save time of their travel, arriving there to witness the destruction that has occurred thus far. They were aware that there were going to be many more attacks on Tamer Island, and they would require to keep the rest of them on reserve for much more important times, namely when the Digimon from where the energy sources initially came from would appear, they would need all of them to be accounted for.

There was a crash in the sky, the sound of the air crackling with sonic booms. Thus was the affect of a series of dreadnaught class engines rocketing through the sky. The golden mechanical digimon who tore through the sky let out a robotronic roar as announcing it's presence. GigaSeadramon. Montgomery Wallace. Aether's flamboyant guide, and link to Shakamon. Monty had traveled from Drive City to confront the Royal Knights about their policies to eradicate the evil digimon in charge of the attacks on the cities. The sky dragon digimon lowered to the upper most entrance to the Sentinel Tower and opened it's mouth. From within the digimon's bowels emerged Monty, the sun catching his orange visor with a shimmering radiance. With him, Dracomon and Veemon, his first and second partner. GigaSeadramon would stay behind, but had access to Monty's commands via the digivice. The tamer reached the assembly room for the Royal Knights and, without knocking, placed both hands on the chamber doors and pushed them open. The doors creaked open and within the room were all of the Royal Knights, minus Magnamon and Duftmon. Examon was also absent from the room due to his size, but he was probably close by. It took guts to come before the council of holy knight digimon. But he was Aether's guide, his goal was to maintain the balance in the digital world. Calling out to them he said, "Royal Knights! Drive and Network Cities were attacked by the forces of darkness. Is the only solution you can fathom is that of hostility? The forces of dark and light must remain in balance, eradication of either side is unacceptable. I may only be a human, and you may just shake me off as a mere annoyance, but I talk for someone much higher and greater than ourselves. And I tell you this, if a solution that keeps both sides in check is not reached there will be consequence."

The Royal Knights were attending to a large screen, which held videos that were recording and streaming live information upon the Digital World to them, with two of the main screens being Drive City and Network City. Upon hearing the words of both AncientWisemon and Stingmon, they received a visitor. Alphamon, Gallantmon, Craniamon, Dynasmon, UlforceVeedramon and Gankoomon remained at their stations, manning the screens to detect any further disturbances avidly, searching deeper and rapid for the next onslaught that the Demon Lords would take.

Kentaurosmon galloped in front of Monty, looking down upon him from his stature and height. "We are here to ensure order, Montgomery Wallace, as I had stated in our message to the Tamers in this dire time of need. One of our chosen Royal Knights has direct contact to the being that had created us all, and the one who speak for. We do not wish to eradicate them, however, they do as we possess a threat to putting a halt to their plans." Standing firm, Kentaurosmon watched the Tamer, and his two Digimon that were on hand. "We are the Royal Knights, here to protect and defend the Digimon from these evils, and to save as many as we can, we do need Tamers to aid us as their ways, those who fight for justice like other Digimon do, is the same direction that we make our plans accordingly to," the Digimon continued to explain until it a loud swoosh sound was made.

A large shadow appeared behind Monty, and gale winds gusting through the door he had opened. Behind him was an aloft Examon, and luckily for them all the building was capable of taking the force of the winds generated by Examon's wings. "We do not wish to disrupt the balance of which we have allowed to happen, as I had stated in the message as well Tamer. The Demon Lords do sought to destroy us, and we are here simply to stop them, we do not have any intent to create fatalities no longer, due to the current state of the Digital World, and of our predecessors, we are much more instrumental in the immediate standstill of their evil, and to return them from where they had emerged from, wherever that may be."

Crusadermon patiently awaited once more, walking towards Monty as well, "I had stated this Tamer. We will strive to survive this attack, and stop the evil from progressing further than it already has. We had only said that those who dome to us to destroy us will only be met with the same regards, however we no longer utilize the rule of complete deletion, as the Digital World has been rumored to be noticeably unstable as of lately." Looking at the Tamer, it could see from afar the trail that GigaSeadramon had made to arrive to their base.

"If you do come with evil intent, be prepared to be vanquished," Omnimon resounded, repeating its words from the announcement it made much like the other Royal Knights had, also taking a step towards Monty, but further from him than the others who had first responded to him. "We have been investigating, it is by order and design of King Drasil that we do not interfere more so than we are required to, and the intent of the Demon Lords is solely to destroy us, so perhaps you may want to explain that to them, if you dare. The have changed the entire landscape of the area that they once thrived in, now with their location exactly unknown within. If they do eradicate us, the balance is not possible, and when innocents are victims... we cannot let them go further with their actions, yet we are fighting by both the Knight's code and the Hero's code, much akin and inspired to us by this Digimon from not of this World," Omnimon stated, as two window screens opened displaying the changed surface of where the Demon Lords had resided in the Digital World all these years and the other holding the image of a Gallantmon in the destroyed area of Network City. "We have attempted to infiltrate the Demon Lords' lair, however there are only few who are now capable to enter, Tamers who have aligned themselves with them, or those who were purely evil. Your group and ours are unable to, but we are trying to find a way around that, and to protect the Digimon..." Omnimon said as there was a quaint rumbling that occurred beneath their feet coming from afar.

Just as Monty expected, the Royal Knights were no pushovers. They immediately confronted him. The first to call upon him was Kentaurosmon, who voiced his concern for the rising threat in the digital world. Monty responded to this by saying, "It is true that you are here to protect the digital world from evil, but when does your justice go to far. Who is there to tell you when you have gone too far, and who is there to tell you to stop. As Magnamon said in Drive City, you will not allow them to proceed. Sure that sounds just..." He was then confronted by Examon next, a familiar sight to his Dracomon. Dracomon listened and responded to the Royal Knight, speaking as Monty would have wanted, "Examon! We understand that the forces of darkness seek to destroy you. But only by meeting with both sides can we hope to stop the fighting. You state that you do not want any more fatalities but you know in your heart there will be fighting." Next was Crusadermon's wise words, it approached Monty for his council. Monty turned to the digimon and listened before saying, "The Demon Lords are the threat, not yourselves. As long as violence is not pursued against them." Finally it was Omnimon that confronted the tamer, the stand in for the leader of the Royal Knights responded to Monty aswell. Veemon jumped from behind Monty and said, "You know Aether has no evil intent Omnimon." Monty then took over from there, "But fighting back against the Demon Lords, no matter the rectitude of your code can not be aloud. The Demon Lords layer, tell me where it is. I may have a way to... negotiate." He paused and waited for their response.

Kentaurosmon responded abruptly, with a firm stomp. "We intend to stop their evil, and by counterattack, we do mean to be prepared before they attack to protect the Digimon, which we were unable to do ourselves beforehand in the two cities. The one who now keeps us in check is the newly reinstated King Drasil, and he has, along as us, have learned from past discretions from other instances in time and space, from several different points, we are now justly perfect to how we must operate, not allowed to go any further in placing our justice onto the Digital World, but what is Digimon and humanely right to do, we shall." The Digimon turned around as it was needed elsewhere, not before stating, "There are others who do stand tall with true justice and they have inspired our new code, and are able to stop us if necessary, but I assure you we, under our current protocol, will not cross the line that other knights have done before."

"In self-defense and in the defense of others," Examon nodded. "We wanted to initially meet them on their terms, however it is not possible for us to do so as they only seek to destroy us and all who stand in their way, and oppose their evil actions and intent," Examon said as it settled on the ground gently, with space through the door if Monty would want to exit.

Crusadermon watched on as Monty replied. "We have only a strong counterattack to prevent it from furthering Tamer, we desire not to fight for no purpose, but in defending, and to counterattack, we require simply to be prepared beforehand rather than attack them head on, as that is also not possible, but would not work in any resolution. The balance of the Digital World was kept until they had attacked the cities, and further imbalance that is occurring out of the reach of King Drasil or Shakamon," it explained, yet it withheld further conversation, letting Omnimon to continue.

"We are aware of that, but that was a warning to Demon Lords who may appear here to attack us or any Digimon or Tamers without any reason other than standing for what is right," Omnimon replied, as a sudden emergence occurred on one of their screens. "It seems like your question has been answered," Omnimon replied as dark energy converged upon a desolate area, with a figure appearing, as the rest of the Royal Knights watched on and awaited to see what would be the figure to appear.
