Wide screen becuase you can see your surroundings more! Sometimes full screen is upclose and personal with certian shots. I dont mind it but I like wide screen better.

Widescreen, most definitely. Judging from a cinematic perspective, it's the better choice. A lot of the picture is cut out of Full screen, and the remaining image is often warped slightly. Watch Lord of the Rings in Widescreen, then watch it in Fullscreen. The difference is amazing.

I try to avoid Fullscreen whenever I can... Unless the movie was filmed in Fullscreen originally. I typically go with however the director wants his film viewed. It's his or her work of art, after all.

I would prefer full screen on most movies today, and wide screen on films by Hitchcock. The point of wide screen is that you have the "theatre experience". Full screen is for home viewing.(well that's what i think)

I will only buy DVD's in Wide Screen versions, unless I can only find them in Full Screen.

Two reasons.

1. Full Screen versions cut off part of the film in order to fill the stupid TV screen.

2. When Full Screen versions are stretched to fill the stupid TV screens, the picture then becomes blurry.

...and that's all I have to say about that. biggrin

I love widescreen. You see so much scenery and it's usually much more artistically done. Fullscreen is alright for some movies, but some movies call for the widescreen detail.
