Dedalus and other ships

Ok. its a cool ship and all but has anyone noticed how much its SUCKS.

Railguns: can be fired for like ever, but the only time ive ever seen them do damage, is in Season 3 episode 1 "No Mans Land" where they targated the dart bay.

Plasma Beams: Never adition, actually can hurt, but whoever is aiming needs to be replaced, the SFX team could have made it look cooler than a long blue pole, they could have make it like red and wavy or somenthing...

Sheilds: Even at 100% the ship is taking damage... wtf... they loose power extremely fast. and even with them at 60% caldwells like OMG WE GOTTA GO.... seriously... what the hell.

Beaming: Perhaps the most useful of the ships tools, good for beaming nukes, but seriously, an Asgard cant disable the jamming? they are like super smart and the wraith are like... almost super smart..

F-302: um.. pretty useful... not used much though... they need more than 3 on the ship.


other than that.. the Atlantis crew has destroyed just about every ship they had...

Hive: crashed into cloning station..

Orion (Lantean warship): wasted on 1 crippled hive. seriously, would it have been so bad if the Dedalus was the only one sent, it took out 1 hive, there other ships in the milky way that could have destroyed the otherone as soon as it entered the galaxy. even though they were fighting the Ori at this moment, but im sure that they could have done something less wasteful that destroying an ancient warship

the 60 percent thing is probably the IOA rubbing off on him to not let the ship be destroyed

the railguns are meant to take down small ships the darts

why would you want plasma beams to be wavy and red there plasma and there beams

the beaming i completely agree with but they just did that to make it not uberly easy for them to destroy the wraith if they just found a way to track every single wraith ship then they could just go there beam a nuke in go to the next one. over in a few weeks or months.

theres like more than 8 x302sin each bay they have 2 bays so more than 16 x302

yeah, true about the shields... but he gets like OMG WE ALL GONNA DIE worried...

yeah, but before they had the plasma beams that was their primary weapon... and in every space battle they are shooting at the hives even without darts and they dont do anything, oh ya i watched the 3 seige parts last night, in those rail gun shots were blue, but now they are yellow wink

well a simple blue beam isnt all that impressive compared to the SFX teams usual standards

yeah, its still annoying though, like the moment they are out of hyperspace there jammed...

oh there is... howcome they only use like 3 when the deadlus is in trouble...

if your talking about the battle with the ships that kidnapped mckay and ronan at the end of season 2 they just used that many 4 i believe 1 was lost and they spread out there 3o2's they cant just stock the dealus with 16 of them and the oddysey with as many as possible when the ships are off in other places they need as many 3o2's on earth and then the resources they get go to being used to build ships. and the rail guns weren't the main ship they were used to blanket anything attacking them they used the missiles remember.

yeah thats the other thing about that episode, they launched like 6 march-9 nukes, all but 1 were intercepted by darts...

when the dart hit the nuke, wouldnt the nuke go off on impact instead of just killing the dart... when the last nuke hit the hive it blew up but the other five just made like grenade blasts

good question but if you were to take a nuke in a plain to the communists in russia (cold war) then if you got shot down the nuke would have been wasted and if a dart was right next to the deadulus when it got hit then the deadulus would have been destroyed. i think they are armed before they get to there intended target not by proximity.
