Atonement

crying Atonement, just watched it! Long, slow, and disappointing! Anyone else feel this way about this film?

I've heard mixed things about it. I didn't want to bother and watch it.

i saw it with mi parents & brother.

but it was funny when he was typing 'c**t' and mi brother screamed it in the theater xD

other than that i didn't like it.

I didn't think it was that long, slow, or disappointing. It came in at around 2 hours and moved wonderfully; if anything, it was too short. I thought it was way better than I expected it to be. I thought it was just going to be some lame Titanic rip-off, but I was pleasantly surprised. I appreciated it's scope and Saoirse Ronan's great performance; that kid deserved an Oscar. It wasn't the greatest movie I've seen, but I think it's worth more than one viewing.

I agree with RedWhiteBlack that it was short. I felt like there was a lot of build up that abruptly ended - but that's the beauty of the story. Good film, but personally, I didn't like it.
