That movie looked ridiculously retarded. I'm not a church goer, nor do I practice religion. But I do believe in God and Jesus and I believe that movie went way to fricking far.

Never wanted to see, never will. I do believe my soul will benefit from not seeing it.

And have you seen Hamlet 2, even? It's hard to tell because the nature of your post is hell bent on attacking the movie for ridiculing/satirizing/spoofing/making-fun-of Jesus, rather than effectively arguing your point as to why you think it is so bad.

This may be the place to "let out your anger", but please attempt to make conversations, rather than just yelling and screaming your opinion.

I'm not particularly religious so maybe I can't see where you're coming from...but if you take offense to it...just don't watch it, and like the person above me does...change the channel when the commercial comes on.

Its a comedy about a theater teacher who puts on a "Hamlet 2" play and its supposed to cause a riot and produce laughter. Looks retarded but i think it got okay reviews.

Hamlet 2... next to Role Models is the funniest movie I have seen all year. And come on... "Rock Me Sexy Jesus" is an excellent song... it doesn't exploit Jesus in a bad way... the meaning of the song is that Jesus kicks a** which I'm sure is a statement that you could agree with. The crusifixtion joke is a little tasteless but whatever... you should problely watch the movie before you take offence... it's honestly an excellent comedy.

I apologize if what I'm about to say is not true -- you just seem to give off this air about you:

With the religious fanatacism and ideology in your first argument, I have to say that you have not seen the film at all.

My reasoning is thus, the movie may appear to be flying in the face of religion, but it really does not. As one of the religious protestors in the movie realizes, "Oh, I get it! Jesus kicks Satan's a**!" Overall, to base one's opinion of Hamlet 2 on religion is to miss the entire point of the movie.

Personally, Hamlet 2 had me in tears I was laughing so much. And I think that it was the funniest movie of 2008 -- even with the comic gold of Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Smart.

Granted, I'm not religious...or at least, I'm certainly not Christian. So take my view however you will. wink
