I understand being disappointed at losing an important plot position, but you do remember that at the time, Elders were held to a required activity level? And Kymo was warned; a warning was posted in her journal long ago requesting activity before she lost her position as an Elder.
I believe you've misunderstood some things, as well as a few not being clear simply because it's not been an issue, but...there actually are no more active Elders. Sunny voluntarily demoted Coronus back to an adult, and both Spooky and Mina left Gaia years ago. The fact that Ivy and Jazz remain on the owner's list as Elders at all is simply because the OL is being revamped elsewhere and honestly, we've had other things to keep us busy rather than revamping old inactive Pae.
You do not have to LIVE in the shop just to be active again. We were just trying to provide an IC explanation for Kymo's demotion and how to explain where she's been. You're free to explain where the rest have been however you would like.
Normal Pae'il will never be taken away for inactivity. The only reason the shop would reclaim a Pae'il is if they are specifically marked as an IPC (Important Plot Character) at the time that they are given and said that their activity is required for the metaplot. Activity is required for RP perks only, like powers and special plot roles. Even if the player goes inactive, they would not lose their personally developed Pae, though they might lose their plot roles if we need to move the story ahead without them.
If you think you can't devote the time to such roles, you are still free to play your Pae'il casually with others. We don't care if you come and go. Just understand that there are times in the past when the entire story has been hung up because a single player wasn't around, or left for years, seemingly never to come back. This is why we simply find someone else to fill those roles now and move on.
We welcome you back if you would like to play with us, but no one is forcing you to play Kymo if you're not comfortable, nor any of your old Pae if you don't wish to.
