This is just one of the numerous drawings in my folder, one which I've deemed worthy of uploading. That's Zac, a completely original character from a story I wrote some months ago. The drawing was a gift to one of my friends and it was taken with a camera phone, so excuse the bad quality.
I'm looking for any constructive criticism, comments on the drawing, anything I need to work one, et cetera. I do know I need to work on his hands ('cuz I suck at hands) and I know I messed up on the boxes as well.
Zac

You should be proud 'cause he's so adorable. I mean, there are a few things (particularly with proportion) that you could work on, but he's just so cute. 4laugh
His shoulders should be a little wider and a little more sloped (like not downward, but more of a curved slope instead on the drop-off kinda one you've got... okay, this might be confusing... how 'bout, don't slope too much downward, at least not on the farthest [his right, our left] shoulder). And you should be able to see the closest shoulder (his left, our right) more than the other one, so reverse their shapes and slopes. mrgreen And the arms should be a bit thicker, not too much! Heavens, no. Just a bit. He should also be a bit broader at the top of the torso than at the waste, instead of just straight down. In essence, he needs a little more curves. You don't want him to look like a woman or anything, but he must have those masculine curves too. rofl And his neck looks a little stiff, or awkward. I think that should probably be angled a little more.
Anyway, just look for 'body tutorial' or 'proportion tutorial' and go through the popular ones. They're pretty helpful.
Either way, I really did think he was just so darned cute! So keep drawing him. And others too. Have Fun! biggrin

Thank you so much. I hadn't noticed that about his shoulders until now and now that I look at it, his arms could be a bit thicker (I have a tendency to make arms, legs, and necks a little too thin or thick.) Thank you for that comment--it will improve my drawings of him. And thank you. People--usually his fangirls--comment on him being cute... I just wish I could kinda move away from a chibi style.

Well, he's not typical chibi or anything; he's just adorable! mrgreen But I'm glad I helped.
