I've thought about it before, but never about doing it. I've gone through periods when I've been so incredibly depressed that when I'm driving I've played around with the idea of just letting go of the wheel to see what happened... where my car would go and if it would kill me or not... but then I snap out of it and realize that I've only got one life to live and I don't want to cut it short, no matter what.

I agree that feeling suicidal and actually committing suicide are two entirely different things. I've been there before. I felt that I wanted to die, but when piss came to s**t, I was just too afraid to kill myself. But now those suicidal feelings have passed and I'm completely happy with my life.

I have had the feelings of suicide before, but they completely quit after one of my close friends committed it because of myself. We had gotten in an argument and the next thing I know is that he's gone. I don't agree with it. I think there are ways to get out of it if one really tries. I've had depression issues and I managed to get out just fine. I know that for some people it may be harder, but I believe that everyone somewhere inside (maybe it's furthur down for some people) have the strength to go on. Some get lost and can't find it, but I believe there are ways to find it and ways to survive. I just don't really agree with it at all. Maybe it's because I feel so strongly about my own life and those that I love that I find it disappointing that anyone would want to throw their own life away. I think everyone has someone that loves them, some people don't properly show their love so it may seem as though they don't. I just believe that if you search hard enough, you will find the love and the strength to continue on. Those are just my opinions though.

Something I don't normally discuss is that I've felt suicidal many times, and it's mainly at night when I'm alone and have time to think about my life, but I've never actually came close to trying. :l I've never even cut myself. I'm too afraid. But still, the feelings are sometimes enough to break me down. I often found myself crying silently at night, listening to songs like 'Missing' by Evanescence and 'Mama You're A Liar' by Kerli. Though I've noticed that these thoughts have slowly been going away since I find myself thinking of the boy I really like rather than the other problems in my life.

Dogs Are Angels...i think people who commit suicide or think about it are selfish, if they do commit then they're leaving people who love them whether they know it or not, oh i dont fit in is lame, its yer choice whether you choose to fit in or not, theres always gonna be someone else like you at a school whether you know it or not, just pray about things some people go through things i wont even ever understand & i feel sorry for people who are suicidal. i just cant stand people who act like it just to ge attention...With FUR!!!

Well, I can see some situations. I'm not going to lie, but if I was paralysed, I would probably try to die in someway. I'm very afraid of someone doing that, though. Whenever someone I know is depressed, I try to talk to them as much as possible and hope that I help them.
But, yes, I think they are different. You may not want to live at the moment in one, but you may get over that. In the other, you actually do the irrevocable

I'll make this short and sweet, having been there myself: Suicide is not a way out, and should not be committed. Feeling suicidal for me is another way of saying you are thinking of doing it, though I believe society views it differently. If you want someone to talk to about it, pm me.

I don't see too much of a difference. My friend has attempted suicide many times, and if it wasn't for her handicap, I'm sure she would have succeeded by now.
when someone who's everything to you dies, and you're not close to anyone else as you were to them, how would you feel? One of my friends has held knives to her throat, and I myself have cut before. Happiness must be obtained. it's like cupping water in your hand- it'll stay for a while, but there are always little slips and cracks that it seeps through and ultimately empties.
that's how I feel about things like that =/
*if it makes any sort of difference, my friend's mom died, she says that its her fault because if she hadn't been sleeping, her mom would have been alive now, my friend has CP and is constantly picked on, and is really clingy, so it's tough for her to make friends, her brother and dad live with her, no sisters, and her brother is developing diabetes, which is what killed her mom. so her life is fu&&ed up.*

I think that people who attempt suicide and fail are just whoring for attention.
