bachelors credits - rare bugs

does anyone know how many bacholrs credits you need before H & R Wesley will trade anything for them?....
He doesn't even say anything to me when i go to try adn trade.

Also has anyone caught a "rare" bug for ink? if so what is it and where/when do you find them?

I caught a Gold Cricket once (months ago)! smile Just the 1 bug got me a bottle of gold ink.

Edit: I don't really remember where I caught it as I was running all over Towns at the time. I think the rare bugs pop-up randomly.

I have caught the Monarch butterfly twice, both times were at night, if that has anything to do with it, and I traded it for white ink. You can also sell these rare bugs for gold.
