Hello everybody. I was wondering if anyone had some good ideas for party snacks.

I have a friend who is throwing a Halloween party, and there will be a good deal of drinking going on. She asked me if I had any ideas for snacks that are cheap (there will be quite a few people there) and won't make people too sick (lots of beer and harder liquors).

So if anybody could help me out with ideas it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot!

if you want REALLY cheap, I did this once in the dorms:

Ingredients:
Club crackers
Bologna
Pre-sliced American cheese

Steps:
Spread out crackers on plate or pan or whatever
Cut up bologna slices like you would a pizza into 8 'slices'
cut up cheeze slices into quarters
Stack: cracker, bologna, cheese. 3nodding

Otherwise, my mom makes something with melting brown sugar and butter together, then pouring it over club crackers and baking for a little to get it to solidify. (Sometimes slivered almonds are involved too).

Ummmm... Fruit works too, though people might not exactly LIKE fruit, the juice helps keep people hydrated and thus ward off some of any hangovers they may get later.

Veggies and hummus and/or baba ganouj always win.

Carrots and celery are pretty cheap.

You could put cream cheese in the celery and call them "rotten logs."
Especially if you cut up some olives and sprinkle them over the top.

I always make a spinach dip, very similar to the recipe on the Knorr package.

1 large tub of sour cream
2 packages Leek Onion mix
1 box frozen chopped spinach (defrosted and the water squeezed out of it)

For a special occasion, use round bread loaf, cut up the top and hollow it out and place dip inside of bread bowl. Use the bread to eat the dip.

It's also really good with tortilla chips.

Well you could get 2 6ft subs and cut them into small portions. Another thing you could do is bake a bunch of bbq wings. Or if you have time to let everyone know have people bring stuff kind of like a potluck.
