I was just thinking about what countries would fit in which parts of classic Fairy Tales.

I can easily see Finland, Sweden, and Russia in The Snow Queen.
Finland would be Gerda, after all he is Sweden's wife.
Sweden would be Kay.
And Russia would be the Snow Queen.

I love fairy tales. The old Grimm ones are best. -Goes to search my bookmarks for the sites she has with them.-

I can see America as Cinderella.

America as Cinderella
Democracy(I know it's not a country but bear with me) as The Prince
UK as The Evil step mother
France as Step sister 1
Spain as Step sister 2
Canada as The Fairy godmother.

America wanted democracy but UK said no but went any way. Democracy with the glass shoe of justice uses it toward the sisters but they didn't fit with France and Spain but fitted America's feet perfectly.

.... And America and Prince Democracy lived happily ever after. The end.

I think i might write a fanfiction with this. Just for the lulz.

Hmm =_=

I think a story that would spark much hilarity would be Bizet's Carmen.
((Not a fairy tale...I know >.>))
Germany can be Don Jose, the man who is engaged to Micaƫla (N.Italy). But Don Jose falls in love with another woman, Carmen (S. Italy). After a while, Carmen tires of Don Jose and starts loving a bullfighter named Escamillo (Spain/France/Japan???? I haven't quite decided. Pick the one you like the most!). Don Jose becomes infuriated and begs Carmen to come back. Carmen states that she does not love him anymore, so in a blind rage Don Jose kills her.
Ah, Tragedy doesn't quite work but I thought I would post it for funnn.

I think maybe Austria is more fitting to be Carmen in that story. xD;;

France would be a great big bad wolf. Trying to molest little Red Ridding Hood aka England.

Ummm, for some odd reason after reading the Outsouring Series, I can't get Cinderella out of my mind...

I could picture Liet as Ella (they both have shorter names, have to do all the work, getting a little extra help to introduce them to the prince-ish, and getting teased/mutilated by the step..um sister and brother)

America(The prince)
UK(Fairy god..um brother to prince. He can see spirits and he was the one who introduced Liet-tan to America-tan)
Poland (Um evil stepbrother, in Disney version that turns good)
Belarus (evil stepsister)
Russia/Soviet Union (Um, evil stepfather? Liet did have to do all the work)

So basically the plot goes like this:
Liet wanted to escape so UK helped him by introducing him to his younger brother who was a prince. And so after about a week, the Great Depression came and Liet went back to the Soviet Union. Then America got rich again and helped Liet win his freedom like he promised in this page (http://community.livejournal.com/hetalia/55851.html) and then they live happily ever after-ish...

The End!!
