Manga Scanalation Sites

What do you think about manga scans? Are they good, or should they be stopped? Can they be useful, or just annoying to some? Post what you think and any recommendations on sites if you wish.

I think they are great, as long as they dont try to take money from people for reading the manga. Since my most favourite manga series are quite long (Fullmetal Alchemist already has a lot of manga and it is still ongoing!) I honestly cant afford to buy them all. So in my opinion its good that there are websites that offer manga for free. If you want to support your favourite ones you still can buy them, but these sites are also helpful if you just want to see what the series is like before buying it.
