This is an old movie from 1940s-50s era, but I was shocked at how awesome it was. It's based on a play, but it's sort of like Bewitched or Sabrina: The Teenage Witch, in a way. It's a must see for anyone.

I have to agree, though as movies were back then pretty far from reality as well - I have yet to meet anyone who could be considered immortal, immoral yes, immortal no.
had my interest stirred up by the Author Jeff Fain which also maes reference to it in his book "the Burning"

Of course most classic movies were pretty far from reality. It really wasn't supposed to be based in reality. It was a form of escapism.
