I hate the portrayal of women in horror movies in general, all too often they're just screaming damsels to be rescued by some hero with wonderful hair, and if it's not that, they're some homophobic charicature of a lesbian and totally masculine and unsexualised. I was massively disappointed by Alien 2 because of this, actually, because Ripley had previously been a great strong female lead, and that was mocked by the girl with the heavy gun (I can't remember her name at the moment).

Squirting blood and guts. I can handle pools of blood on the floor but I can't stand when it squirts. No matter how realistic or not it is...

I hate that too, though it can be funny, sometimes.

Also, hate how pretty much all of today's horror movies are horrorless [to me, anyways]. Where's the frickin' scary, man? I think the last time I jumped at a movie was Final Destination 2 when the ladder went through that one guys head. Not sure that counts as horror or what have you, but it scared the hell outta me.

i hate it when people dont run away when they can see that somethings bad is coming toward them. its "hello...RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
i also hate how they use so much gore. most scary movies arent even genuinely scary anymore, its just disgusting.

I personally hate blood and gore. I realize that sometimes its nessicary for the movie to be scary, but I can only handle it to a point.
like the first Saw movie I absolutly love, but the others I can't stand to watch.

I hate that they don't scare me.

My best friend and I have been trying to find some horror movie that can give us nightmares but it hasn't happened yet. Most of the time we just find ourselves laughing at them. Most recently we laughed through Friday the 13th. And we had a Saw marathon leading up to the premiere of the fifth one and we weren't freaked out at all.

Our next attempt will be a movie about a haunting. I don't remember what the name of the movie was but it'll be coming out soon. I told him ghosts are the only things that really scare me, so he said we'll give it a try. Haha.

Also, boobs and blood. There were so many pointless boob shots in the last horror movie I saw. It was ridiculous.

I hate how they over-sexualize women. For example the 30 minute porno at the beginning of Hostel and more recently the brutal rape of a 'psycho' patient in the new remake of Halloween. The infamous 'vine scene' in evil dead. What's the point? Horror movies are all about sex, violence and rock n' roll (at least the old school ones are). That's just my take on horror movies. I just don't get it. Someone once told me that horror movies are about the darkest part of humanity and rape is just one of those horrible things we do to one another but I say it can be done tastefully. Halloween was just...ridiculous (though the rest of the film was interesting :3).
