If those are the only two options then Tamaki and Haruhi. However, I would have preferred Kyoya and Haruhi. Tamaki is too flighty and Hikaru can be really selfish.

Hikaru has prettier eyes, and is more of a leader. And Tamaki doesn't ever really talk 'to' her as much as 'about' her.

Of course I'd have to be a TamaHaru fan. And about Tamaki not really talking to her as much as about her, try to think about it from his perspective. Loving someone while feeling that loving that person is not allowed is an annoying feeling. Heart conflicts with mind. It's tiring, and it's worse for Tama since he doesn't know that he loves Haruhi.

I think Tamaki and Haruhi make the better couple. Haruhi was more of an eye-opener to Hikaru and Kaoru that there more people in the world than just the two of them. Now that they realize this, I think they have the potential to find love even farther out than school. ((I am biasing my view only on the anime, because I have not read the manga.))

Tamaki and Haruhi because I want to be with Hikaru. Actually Tamaki looks better with Haruhi than Hikaru.
